This is from the NEW TRD website...

Who will be first to try to buy one?

Who is correct.....

I was about to say, just because the TRD site has a listing of the once sold part, doesn't mean it's available.

I ran the fan listed above and under heavy throttle it flexed and ruined a new radiator. I now run the fan that came with the sc[/QUOTE

Around here we have used the OEM finned fan from a 3fe. It is back spaced more than the TRD ring fan and it moves lots of air. I have run one for 4 years here in the desert under all conditions imaginable and if has done a great job of keeping my engine cool. YRMV. John

@beno Thanks for confirmation!
I PM'ed CDan too, but I guess the site is blocked on his firewall at work...

I don't get why they would build a new website and show parts available if it isn't actually available still.
Bugger.

They probably rebuilt the site but not the inventory back end. Just a re-skin and connected to the DB.

Don't despair!!

Mine is still available with an NIB short block for $12.5k.
How about just the short block? I had just convinced myself I "needed" it when you scooped it up. :)

Think the two go together like peas and carrots, beans and franks, Cap'n and Crunch, Land and Cruiser, even super and charged.

Shaman or his protege can hook you up though, do not despair.

If I can't sell both for $12.5k, gonna keep and put both in the Poverty Pack, since most cheap looking "things" have a motor that just keeps on a purrin'.

A cpl of quick questions:
- I saw the TRD Supercharger advertised as a Rotrex supercharger...is that correct?
- Is the TRD Supercharger a traditional centrifugal supercharger, or a screw compressor? I ask because centrifugal units require high revolutions to produce sig torque, vs screw compressors that provide sig torque and almost full boost from low end up to redline.

So, I need to figure out what I'm going to do about a fan. I want a landtank fan clutch so I can use the oem fan, but they are not available yet. It seems like the second best option is to use a 3fe fan. To do this I need the TRD fan spacer and longer studs. They are not available from Toyota. So I'm kinda stuck. Any suggestions or parts for sale please let me know.

Have you actually contacted Rick about availability of his clutch?

I did. He said he needed to order some cores and have them machined. Sounds like it could be a little while...

I've been contacted by several people so I'm not sure if you are one of them and what we talked about. I'm working through getting the SC fan clutches on line but if you could use a spacer and longer studs I'd be happy to send you those out of my SC kit along with the ringed fan if that will get you up and going. Just pay shipping.

I talked with a few of my contacts and there is a conversation going with Toyota to have these in production again in the next few months. I'll post up as I get more details.

We messaged a couple of times. When the supercharger I bought showed up it had the spacer and studs with it, so I am going to use a 3f fan for now and look into one of your clutches in the future.
thanks for your willingness to help
