Today was a busy day filling the frame holes as you see in the pics I keep plugging along no pun intended. The process is pretty straight forward as to how it goes. Does make the frame look smooth and nice.

Looks nice, what are some of the hurdles in the process, and did you install some ducting for a defroster. Additionally what did you decide for wipers. Questions, Questions.

Defrost? Just crack the window open!! It uses the old style single wiper motors from the 60's. Skip, I plan on using this during the summer and going back to a regular windshield during the winter. These are rare, probably only a handful in the U.S .

TNX YOU GUYS !!! Ya I know they are hard to get unless you go over to Pakistan, not sure I want to go there now with the way things are going anyhow many TNZ again. Skip

Is than an OEM WS frame?? I need one!

Yes they are OEM just never made it here to the states. They pop up for sale from time to time when someone imports a batch.

Hey C Cruiser
You know anybody that had used this wiper set up very interested in the info you gave out. Think it might work .

Skip, those speedway motors are very similar and will work fine. I have some originals but not sure if they work. I also saw thise same motors at a boat marine store the other day!

Sound like these are the ones, TNX for the input guys looking better as I go. So excited about the new toy for my build. Isn't that why we do these builds.

Finally getting back to the frame after a few weeks away. Been getting the house ready for sale. Felt good to get back on track. The body mounts were just tack welded on now they are finale, also got the frame sand blasted inch by inch.

I was a shop teacher and was inspired by Mr Zimmer a shop teacher I had when I lived in Fresno, ca. It was a great job and working with kids for 34 years. Still fun to create stuff. When I stop I guess it will be time to jump in the hole.

I'm not a shop teacher (my Dad was), but designing/building/modifying things to fit what our needs/wants are is the most satisfying thing, after volunteer work for church/others.

I am a white collar worker now, but there's been some noise about me quitting and teaching IA.

Working on the final pieces for the frame. It seems that I always try and make it difficult. Big eyes small stomach. After I look back it will be just a part of the fabing process and I will be happy with the improvements. It is hard to back off making stuff special. Now back to the shop and stop sniveling for a while.

that's not much of a snivel :flipoff2:

I have to talk myself off the ledge, most of my builds start out as a "simple refresh" (there's been at least 6 that I've posted online) then turn into epic battles with both cars and those who can't figure out how I got from X all the way around the alphabet and back to x again. Right now, it'd be so easy, I say, to simply build a brand new floor pan (and it would be easy) - but it'll never been seen...
so when I say I feel your pain (despite the 'bird') I really do.
