Dobbinson's tapered variable rate. Original plan was Slinkys, but they seem to be unobtanium at the moment.

I'll definitely have to powder coat the Dobbies. I can't handle that color. 🤮
I feel the same way about the color; hard pass

Given the number of people who feel the same way, I'm surprised there isn't another option. If something as simple as the cosmetic color of a product I was manufacturing was hurting my sales I'd change it ... or at least offer another option.

I told my wife the springs could be any color she wanted. I think I may have opened Pandora's box on that one. She immediately pointed to some container in the bathroom with a battery-acid-green/yellow top and said "I kinda like that". I'm so screwed.

Once you are done...please just send me part numbers. Makes it easier for me to copy. 😳😂😂

Dobinsons VT springs- Your looking at one set mid March and one mid April if they don't get held up. That's if your lucky enough to get on the list for the next round.
EDIT: _ I see its 3/26 so first round help up I have seen nothing yet...
Ordered the springs yesterday - Apparently they're in transit on the Pacific currently and due on the dock States side in mid April. Not sure how long the containers take to process and get to Dobinsons warehouse, but I'm assuming late April at the earliest before I see anything.

Ordered the part numbers with the red arrows. I have a 1" integral spacer welded in to my Delta air bump holders for the front and I have various poly spring spacers to try for the rear to get the truck level. If for some reason I need more than 1" of spacer for the rear, I'll order the 4" flexi springs for the rear, but they're May at the earliest and I've also been warned they run big.

From: Compiled 80 series suspension component spec thread... shocks, coils & more. - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/compiled-80-series-suspension-component-spec-thread-shocks-coils-more.1026595/

*Side note - Pretty sure the spring rate for the last entry in the table is wrong. Primary spring rate on the 4" flexi is listed as 150lb/in and the 3" flexi above it is listed with a 175lb/in rate. Both have the same diameter wire. Assuming the rate is actually 175 for the 4" as well.

That chart looks very familiar.
Dobi teal green is a very unique color, but it has grown on me.
Colors seem to be more about branding.
TourFlex is red if you like that color.
I have owned black, silver, red, yellow & teal coils, its all good.

As for the Delta bracket with Icon bumps & have found the to be more like .5" over stock bumps at full compression like in whoops or jumping.
See post #822 & #734 in my build thread.

It's hard to figure spring rate by just looking at wire size. Spring rates are determined from wire size, free height & turns,
All those rates were given to me by David Otero.
Don't take me as being critical, I just want to make sure the correct info is given to the community. There is so much wrong info out there, it's down right confusing at times during research.
Hope this info helps...

Happy Trails to you.

Totally agree that I could be completely wrong on the spring rates in the chart and everything is accurate - especially since there are different spring heights with the same number of turns and wire size (3 & 4" flexi coils). Could always be different material or processing. Seemed odd that the 4" flexi was so far off on the primary spring rate.

Thanks for the whole suspension thread by the way - Really helped me understand what my options are.

I have the Delta bump brackets with a 1" spacer welded in which drops the whole system down. I'd expect my measurements to be about an inch lower than what you're seeing with the standard height bracket.

I added .5" spacer on top of the air bump. Took it out in my local creek bed & slamed some whoops & it pushed my zip tie on the shock shaft close enough to call it same as my stock bumps plus 1" hockey puck spacer.
Zip ties dont lie... so I would bet you have lowered your bumps 1.5" from stock.

i'm right there with you. The green has grown on me a lot and I much prefer to the slinky silver now. Always catches the eye and doesn't remind me of the slinky mess I had with my 80. Dobi teal and king blue from here on out!

Replaced my fubar electric antenna with a manual OEM Toyota unit. That was a special level of contortion to get the signal wire back in to the cab without taking the fender off.

In case anyone needs the OEM part number:

Installed the new Whiteline HD rear sway bar. Great service when I purchased from @2KCruiser.

Pic of the Whiteline next to the stock unit. Pretty impressed with how much more stout the mounts were that came with the bar.

keep an eye on your sunroof drain tube when you install the qpm. It just needs a slight push to not get pinched.

Thanks for the heads up.

Mine showed up 2 days ago...but so did another (much larger package in a crate 😎). So I haven’t even opened the QPM yet.

When did you order yours? I ordered mine back in March.
