Neglect at its finest🤪

Good afternoon everyone,
I’m doing this on my fone so I’m not sure what I’m doing.
However, I really h8 to say this but I will not be able to make it to SAS this year.
I have an rv spot reserved at KOA if anyone wants it.

Thanks
Man, I hate to hear that, Roger. I hope all is well.

Getting close to ready. Anybody got tips on squeezing in the corner glass?

With someone gently pushing in from the out side
1/8 or 3/16” nylon rope
I got all the rest in with the help of @Flatlanderfj40 using #21 nylon twine. Will try adding soap lube for the corners. Thanks!

Gave the Cruiser a once over today ready for the ride of shame 1000+ miles on the trailer and then hit some trails with the good folks of SAS
Can’t wait should be there Saturday 😎

Final torque and fluid checks done. Emergency/spares bag packed. She’s ready.

Heading to the Flat Tops north of Glenwood Springs this weekend for a little pre-SAS R&R if anyone else would like to meet up and camp. Keeping it small and so far it looks like just us. We’ll camp Friday and Saturday, then head out Sunday morning and go to Ouray. Saturday might look like exploring the network of roads or a hike, or both. Give me a shout.

July 5, 2023. Indian Camp Pass.

Anybody have a 60 Series alternator they want to part with? Looking to buy one as a spare and figured one of y’all 60 people had one you could bring to Ouray.

I just wrapped up a dual battery system install and want to make sure I have a spare alt since there’s more stress on this one now. I’ve got a couple NOS regulators, so really just looking for a good alternator. Thanks!

Switch to the 3FE 80amp set-up.

Toyota remains are still available. Swap out a plug and different belt and mod to the alt adjuster arm.

Believe it or not Maureen & I are already here at Ouray KOA. Came a week early with some friends from home. They will be leaving this weekend & we will stay behind anxiously awaiting SAS8. See everyone soon!

Did Mineral Creek yesterday. Great views.

Just FYI for folks traveling through Amarillo. There has been construction on Westbound I-40 coming into the city. It tends to turn into a parking lot most of the day. Here’s what it looks like in front of our offices at I-40 and Quarter Horse Drive right now. It’s a mess and you may be delayed a bit.
