Looks great again and please post pictures with it installed. Are you going to put any insulation in the cargo cavity to keep it from rattling?

I did the install this evening and it hit the seat bracket so I did some minor surgery and now it fit's perfect.
No insulation is needed, the back of the enclosure is covered with that fuzzy tan stuff.

Thanks Rhino

I'll post a few pic's tomorrow

Sub Installed

The minor surgery included removing all the fuzzy stuff, that was a pain as it was glued down. This thing fits better than OJ's glove. A little triming of the cargo panel is all that remains. Enjoy the porn.

Oh my GOD thats good porn

the IS PORN! looks great, is the volume correct for the sub? or its just made to fit the space at hand??

count me in for a copy of the plans when you finish drawing them up :hillbilly:

I'm not sure if the volume is correct but you can see in the photo it's touching the vertical support. I left about 3/8 of a inch from end to end knowing the fuzzy stuff would take up some of that. I'll try and draw up the plans this week and put in a file you can open and print. Also I have 15 to 20 ft of the fuzzy stuff that I'll send no charge to all, just cover the shipping.

Got a chance and mounted both awnings, had these brackets fabbed that can be removed when the awnings are off and to help with mounting and removal added these knobs which really help.

Where ICONS live

My clients Icon arrived Tuesday and I drove it to his house. He wasn't home so I tucked her away next to the LS600h.
The plan with this ICON is to market it in the Va, MD and DC area. I asked him to by it so I'd have one to test drive and take to area events. He called me a few hours later and said anytime I needed it , just call the house. Sweet!!!

Sold the Pig

My Pig has a new home:bang:

Never thought I would ever sell my pig , but I did, and I will look back one day and regret this but its been a great ride and you guys and gals here in the 55 section ....are great.
It's interesting, over the past three years Ryan Scott is the only 55 owner I've met., but I have put faces to all of you through your words here on the mud and a few pictures here and there. The truck was not listed for sale but I got a call and was ask if I'd sell it ... the first number was three and it ships out in a few weeks to AZ I'm not leaving the MUD , I have my eye on the 2010 FJ Cruiser, I need something for a daily driver that I can put some mud on . I'll chime in from time to time.

Well, a sad day and a great day. I appreciate your contributions and will be glad to see you chime in from time to time. BTW, as I am in NM, where in NM is it going?

Again, best wishes, Eric.

X2 on what Eric has stated.........we do appreciate your contributions. I had really forgot how nice your 55 is. I love that ICON too. Good luck and stay in touch, Dave:cheers:

Eric, my mistake, it's going to Flagstaff AZ, Vintage Offroad will finish all the weather strip and a few small projects and then I don't no where the new owner lives.

The "finance" guy at Toyota told me that they were not making any FJ Cruisers anymore. This was last week. He could be full of it though. You never can tell about those dudes....

Lot of info in the FJ section about a new Mil Spec Green 2010, so will have to see if thats the case.

I almost change my mind about selling the 55, but its going to ship out in a few days. I would continue to find a way to spend more money on it , that's what we all do, so it's going to a new home.

I've seen a lot of Cruiser's sold here and I feel pretty lucky to get $30K plus for my truck and the fact that I'm in the car biz, I could use the extra cash right now.

Thanks All

Lou
