Floor Mat Pricing Alabama

Lou; just got off the phone with the local rep for the Seasons Mat..........must be specially ordered.....400$ placed here for 6x10 ft:frown:.......is that comparable to what you were quoted or am I getting a just don't bother "special" price?....TIA

Lou

I got the mat at a high end carpet shop they had quite a few different type of rubber floor products. I'll give them a call and see if it's still available. I found the company www.dmikc.com
look under woven vinyl, the one I purchased is Seasons #112, as I recall it was not expensive, I purchased 6x10 Ft

Lou

Lou, I can't find the bill, I'll call the place tomorrow and find out what I paid, this was ordered a year ago and i saved the floor pattern so I can send that to you.

A/C lines are not hooked up yet, but the heat and defrost work great. Based on where you live you might want to consider a second unit. They have a unit thats 5.75 inch high and 13" deep. that will fit under the seat bracket, not sure about the factory bracket but the one from IPOR has room and it's something Ryan Scott brought to my attention and Vintage A/C has a setup to run two units. The Mark IV under dash unit model# 672001 VHY. Sherman Tank ran vents to the rear in his 55.

Thanks, I need to look into that.

Ram Jet Performance

The Ram Jet has been in my 55 for almost two years and we struggled to get the most from this engine, increased gas line size, changed fuel pumps and gas filters etc.... in the end it ran ok but it never felt like it pulled hard and I thought, ok this is it.
So today I drove 50 plus miles to IPOR to have a Magnaflow and Resonator installed and have a few adjustment done.
With the truck on the lift and running, I happend to glance at the engine as they lowered the truck, standing by the front wheel and looking at the side of the engine I noticed a spark coming from one of the spark plug wires. We pulled the wire and it was dryed out and split. With the Sanderson headers the plug wire ends almost touch the headers.
So it was off to the speed shop for new wires and some Kevlar plug jackets.
The results are , OMG:bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce:this thing pulls so hard and is so fast and the new exhaust sounds great, to think if I had not been standing there at that time , it would have been a while before we discovered the spilt. I drove home with a very big smile and a heavy foot, constantly pushing it.

Yes, you could say a big old pile of it.
I got the exhaust idea from TLC, I was in Calif this summer to check out the ICON for a client and the sound was this sweet deep note, its a two muffler setup, a reg Magnaflow and this resonator thats 1/3 the size. I also had all the vent lines to the tank replaced as they were the original lines and noticed a leak due to a small crack in the lines.

Stereo Installed

Finally have music in the 55, had everything wired up yesterday. I built 4 speaker boxes, for easy removal when it's parked and installed the front tweeters on the dash. The amp and crossovers sit on a bracket under the passenger seat the Kenwood subwoofer is mounted under the drivers seat and the
Pioneer head unit is installed in the Tuffy Box.
I used Focal speakers , Alpine Amp, Pioneer head unit SAT Radio ready and came with the IPOD cord that also powers the IPOD. The Focal speaker are incredible but I'm really disappointed with the Kenwood Sub, it sucks for the money. I bought it because it's only 3 inches deep so it was easy to install under the seat. I should have purchased the Sony 10 inch slimline and made my own enclosure to fit in the rear cargo area but I'm happy just to have great tunes in the 55..

DIY Awning, until this!!!

I decided to build a rear awning for my 55, i have an ARB side awning to work from. I found some telescoping 8ft poles at REI.. and pole end attachments at West Marine which BTW is a great source for stainless steel bolts and screws. So everything was coimng together until I priced up the top. Sailrite gave me a qoute of $702. to make a Sunbrella top 8x8, which I just about choked on and promptly bagged the whole idea.
Someone was looking out for me, I found this brand new in the box for half of retail. Some guy bought it and is wife made him sell his truck. Oh and that thing on the right side of the second pic is my 14 1/2 year old Labs..nose .. he got out of bed to take a sniff..

Cargo Area Subwoofer Enclosure

Got a great deal on a 10 inch subwoofer and spent this afternoon working on a sub enclosure that rest on the the wheel well and is recessed in the cargo area.

Finished it:D, the enclosure only sticks out 2 3/4 inches and I'll have to cut my rear cargo panel but very happy with the results. I just hope I measured correctly because its a tight fit, so tight I notched an area to clear the rear seat back support which I'll have to remove to install it. I'll find out tomorrow .

If this fits , I'll be happy to share the dimensions but not sure I'm up to making another. Like any first time build the first ones a pain in the butt and this was a pain. In this picture the lower section shows how much is recessed.

Looks great again and please post pictures with it installed. Are you going to put any insulation in the cargo cavity to keep it from rattling?
