Thanks posting, still impressed on the details as you update this old technology. And at the same time making things better while keeping its old soul intact.

Random drivetrain parts coming back from Lee over at pristine Powder coating in denver! He does a great job, and he is a cruiser owner! So if anyone is in need of PC in Denver....

We semi flat cleared PC'd the t-case parts, and the black is a 50% Gloss "Chassis black"

Can anyone guess what's wrong with 2 items in this batch? I shook my head when I noticed... Being a professional and making mistakes is apart of the deal sometimes!

Going to go with shifter top plate is aluminum , and knuckle ball ends look like they got blasted?
Correct on the trans top plate, Its supposed to be clear PC, Not black.

The second would be...we somehow sent 2 Right side steering knuckles...:deadhorse:

While some parts are coming back from PC, we are doing more hardware Documentation.. So Ill skip that part.

Off to more small rust repair from the doors. We are in process now of doing random small services before we actually start the tear down process

All those areas are very weak and were cracked on my doors as well. I used spot welded backing plates to add support/rigidity to several areas similar to what a car manufacture would do. Just fixing the cracks will not stop the flexing and eventual cracking again. Nice work, thanks for sharing.

On another note we did a thing! The right 4 studs are for this project, custom made FJ60 head/ rocker shaft to F135 valve cover studs! We made 8, using 4. Not cheap but hey, we have no other options! The Left 4 however are custom made replica units for the F145, F155, F.5 and 2F up to 1979 rocker studs. I am tired sourcing these in perfect condition, usually these are bent, chipped and mauled units, so we now make and carry these! Save your F!
