im using bj73 steering wheel (which includes tilt function) and intermediate shaft to the 80 box. the intermediate is collapsuble and will be reducednin length to suit.

So I am about to embark on connecting the front and back axles to my non abs 80 break master. Last time I tried flaring I had poor results so this time I looked up a recommended Eastwood flaring tool.

$180!

I think that I will try to find the one I used before or buy another $40 one because I probably threw the other out due to my incompetence. I will need a bender as well. I figure I will just practice until I can get it.
Any suggestions on favored tools I am all ears

Correct me if I am wrong
45*
double flare
3/16

I have been geeking on Jmacks work and so now I will practice!

Using quality line makes a huge difference on doing the flares, I’ve just used the cheapo roll of line before and had terrible results...

So I got the Eastwood bending kit on the way. Definitely in my price range!

Rush55, you mentioned the 37* flare. I thought the cruisers use 45* flare, 3/16, double flare.

Thinking that I will buy tube already set up. I just need a straight run to the back axle and then some shenanigans to get to the master.
It would be cooler to make them myself tho.

I know that it doesn’t look like fj55 kit, but eventually it will!

Just love it when it’s all clean and shiny!

I might get crazy down the road and paint them another color to match the overall paint scheme. If Im cool maybe match the engine as well.

NO, I will eventually get this project done!

Wow! I let myself get all the way back to page 5!

Well got something that has gotten me sooooo excited!

I am back into it. Really never left it but this is really crazy for me! Once again into the unknown.

Cant tell a lie. I ordered it and when it arrived I wondered from what ocean they had found it. Maybe an anchor for a mooring off of Nantucket.

After tearing some things off I realized that maybe I could get it back to looking like a new engine.
