Pretty quiet in here... what are you working on? (5 Viewers)

I replaced one years ago with a repair kit it worked for about a year and gave up again. My current one was leaking and Ryan said just replace the entire cylinder because all the repair kit does is buy you a bit of time. I can see it being an option for a trail fix but agree replacing the entire thing is easy and better.

Getting close

I changed the oil on the 40 and 45 and noticed the water pump on the 45 was seeping. I searched all over for an Aisin water pump but ended up with a GMB. I filled the radiator back up after replacing the water pump and noticed that the radiator was also leaking - great! The radiator is NLA from Toyota so I ordered a radiator from Amazon. I get a notice two weeks later that my order is cancelled because they no longer stock the item, thanks Jeff Bezos. I tried to have the original radiator and a spare repaired but both were beyond salvage. The radiator I ordered from CCOT arrived yesterday and the 45 if finally back together. I'm ready to move on to a non-Cruiser project for a while.

I bought one from Toyota a couple of years ago but they are now NLA. The one from CCOT is a CSF and the quality looks good

Got my new slave and master cylinders. Apparently what I thought was a 40 clutch soft line was a 80 series axle to frame brake line. What's different you ask.... About a 1/4 inch of threads. I'm fairly certain I have the right line, I just need to find it.

The parts joker at Ourisman Toyota just tried to sell me the hose for $100, when I told him the hose MSRP'd for $78 and I could find it online for $56 he told me he could do it for MSRP. Talk about stealership. I promptly hung up on the guy.

Ordered from @Racer65 for $52 shipped. Guess I won't be back on the road for a few days.

if the female end depth matches the original and the hose length is close. That hose will work fine.

Installed the hand crank bracket I picked up from @Weber Sarge . Not sure how useful this is but I thought it was pretty cool none the less.

I believe Ryan said you did get the last one in the universe.

From the angle I can't be sure but it looks to me like the end on the right is a flare fitting while the one on the left is not a flare and seals with the copper gasket. Is that correct?
