Got mine for the front from eBay...Fired up the 40 after I remembered to plug in the 12v supply to the coil. Hadn't started since maybe October. Got excited to take it for a spin...then remembered that I need some wheel spacers. FYI, the trail gear ones don't fit neither...even though they say they do. Think I'll take the grinder to that first set I got since I can't seem to find a set that works in stock!
It's easy... Gravity bleed. Just use the book and follow every step.Drove my 40 to work today for the first time this Spring. Went to go home and the clutch wouldn't engage. Popped the hood and looks like the slave cylinder is blown out, master resevior empty. Had a coworker drive me over to Advance and get a quart of dot3. Filled up the master and a steady drip from the slave on every clutch pedal push. Went ahead and drove home, stopped about half way to check and only a half inch of fluid drop so kept on trucking. Rock Auto and a $45 charge later and I'll have a new Aisin master and slave in hand in 3 days. Also have on the shelf a replacement oem slave soft line and brass gasket. Never done this before on a 40 but should be fun.
