Yeah I’ve grown up using PTO on diesel tractors. Crank it to the red line and run it all day.

Likely very similar to a 2F.

We got into Little Rock and it’s like jailbreak traffic there. I looked down once and was at 75 indicated. Smooth as silk.

If you think about the industrial applications of the 2F that’s spot on. My old forklift at work had a 2F in it and we beat it til there were no parts left to fix it. This was before I knew Toyota’s. I would have bought it for scrap just to have a spare motor.

Beat it til there are no more parts left? Sounds like the story of the 60’s we know and love...

Yeah BeBe has no problem cruising between 2500 and 3k on the freeway, doesnt hiccup or anything and actually seems to like it. The around town stuff is what I hate as I know that can be killer on her heart but that is what you live with with a DD. This is also the reason why I try to ride my bike to work when I can.

Part of the “new life” of this 60 was the paint I had sprayed on the hood, valance and front fenders. The hood was a faded mess and the front Had a thousand rock pecks.

I’ve been wanting to polish up the rest of the truck to blend in with the new paint. After getting it all muddy Friday on our yearly snow day, I started in on a deep clean yesterday.

I just waxed the hood and fender since the paint is pretty new

It takes a lot of time but the results are worth it

The rear really blended in good with the new paint.

One of the things I’m super excited about is how well the AFI performs on the road making the 800 mile trips to Arkansas easy. I bought a AutoHome Columbus Small to run on the roof of the 60 but the existing ARB rack, which is my absolute favorite LOOKING rack wont work with My new tent.

I installed the ARB 9 years ago and did
Not Prep the roof at all, just got excited and put the rack on.

This is what it looked like under the rack

How about these moronic chrome strips? Whoever decided these were cool suck

I snatched the strips off and it’s a mess of overspray, two sided tape and 10 sheet metal screws in the roof. Ugh.

Nasty AF but I scrubbed it with Simple Green and a paint scraper and got most
If it up

I hit it with the 1-2 punch of polish and wax and got it nice and clean. The strips are the OG paint. At some point it was painted and they left those crappy chrome strips on it

I’m taking it to see the wrap guy tomorrow to get the roof wrapped. Hopefully I can find a Blue wrap that is close to the color.

If not, I’ll do black.

We have a real good guy here. He’s done others in our group. It’s a good way to cover up crap and he’s good at it so it is not crappy. I’ll run it by my paint guy too and get a quote though.

I looked at 10 different blue colors and none were close.

I just cannot to the black roof. Hurts my soul.

I’ll head by my paint guy and see if he wants any part of it

Feels fast with a slick top

Black would be hot AF in the summer. A quick fresh coat of blue to match the hood is the ticket.

Yep. He’s going to seal up the holes and paint it this weekend. Done.

Yea its def cheaper to do a wrap than paint, but I've had mixed results with wrap. If something happens it starts peeling or if it tears it looks terrible and cheap.

Do a white cap, like a 40 or a 55. Mine has that and I kind of dig it. Looks so natural that I hardly even noticed it until I got home.

I am an OEM paint geek. Has to be stock. Can’t deal with all that. It will be nice and clean and painted this time next week ready for the new roof rack

My guess is BajaRack UTility Medium flat rack.

What do I win?
