Good Evening, Friends,

My 83 FJ60 stalled out twice on me while driving. Truck just died. I was able to get it started back up the first time, but had to get towed the second time around (on Thanksgiving morning, no less.) Now she won't even start at all. I thought it was a fuel system issue. I replaced the fuel filter and the fuel pump. No luck. Focusing on the electrical side, I replaced the battery which was on it's way out anyways. No luck. Today I tried replacing the ignition coil. No luck again. I replaced the alternator about 5 years ago. Does this sound like a carburetor or distributor issue? I'm really stuck here. Grateful for any ideas or suggestions.

Thank you and Merry Christmas to all!

See if you’re getting spark to the spark plugs while the engine is being cranked.

And check the sight glass window on the front of the carburetor to verify fuel is being delivered.
Edit: the fuel level should be at the mid-point of the round sight glass.

Also check the spark plug wires are within spec for resistance.
