It’s spelled out in the 60’s stickies.@NeverGiveUpYota posted some detailed stuff a while back using bottle jacks against the frame rail...hopefully she can link it.
Great! I'll take a look. Thanks. It’s spelled out in the 60’s stickies.
I take that back... I thought it was but I’m not seeing it now but I might be skimming over it.Great! I'll take a look. Thanks.
Thanks @NeverGiveUpYota! I did the bottle jack method and it worked. I had to move it around multiple times and use a mallet and flat head but eventually it came off. The cork gasket has to be original. It looked hard as a rock.
I've noticed that there was some oil leaking near the front of the oil pan. Ia there another gasket there that I should replace?Headed too? What seal is also wide to do at the same time as the oil pan? I’m blanking but I know there is... front Main?
Cool! Thanks Felicity. I haven't bought new bolts. I plant on just trying to clean these up really good and reusing them. They look ok to me!Most likely timing cover gasket. Not the most non intensive chore. Might want to ignore it for now unless you want to start pulling the fan, FC, WP, HB and the timing cover.
Hey I’m curious, did you buy all new bolts? I’m gonna do my pan at some point and a part of me is thinking of just replacing all the bolts on either side of each corner. 10x28’s is what I recall that are easily avail, stock size I believe are NLA.

Says ‘stabalizer’ bolt, are they 10x28? I went back and forth w/ @OSS on then a while back. I might be wrong but I swore the general consensus w/ @beno (what’s a parts guy to do) was the 10x28’s as the ‘new’ size best for the pan?I’m seeing a supercession for the bolts to 90080-11675.
Yes... just searched through my photos for the screen shot of the page from Onur's thread that Fred had sent me and that is the same I found as the new P/N that is necessary for the oil pan bolts.Ah yes, 3/16" too short. 90080-11251 per @cruiserdan
Thanks Ryan! I'll do it for sure! There's usually enough oil splattering around the bottom side of the oil pan to keep those bolts in good shape. A good cleaning with some degreaser and a brass brush will bring them back to new. Also... Make sure you lay the pan down on a flat surface and use a punch and hammer to flatten the flange before you replace the gasket.
