Installing the injection pump went without issue and went in a bit faster than it took for me to remove it. I still had the motor staked at TDC, which means that the IP needs to be at TDC for static timing to be accurate. The woodruff key makes it easy, but we can verify that the IP is at TDC by the has mark cast into the body of the IP. 360 degrees of rotation at the IP is one full revolution of the motor, so if the woodruff key is lined up at the has mark, then you know that the pump is at TDC:
Surprisingly enough, this is all that needs to be removed to pull off the IP. I pulled off the accessory drive to make it easier, but I don't think it's necessary:
