Update.
I haven't posted here in a while so it's time for an update. Still chasing a few electrical gremlins on my console. I've been wanting to do more work on my 40 but between the weather conditions inside my shop and my personal medical issues haven't done a thing. However, I got a burst of energy yesterday so I decided it was time to get some heat in the shop.
I've had an old wood stove sitting in the corner of the shop since last summer, so I decided to install the flue piping and to also acquire all the necessary parts to complete the chimney install.
Here are several pics:
Single wall pipe installed and marked thimble location to be cut through exterior wall
mocked up the thimble and associated chimney piping, and 6" single wall to double wall transition piece
Out side of building mock up of thimble with Metalbestos 6" double wall piping on wall brace
Location of chimney on outside wall of building
Sample chimney, mine will look approximately the same, however, at a different elevation

I'm also working on the Toro as it decided to quit working on me. I have a good battery, turn the ignition key all the idiot lights come on, including mine, but will not start. This thing has a multiplicity of micro switches so I suspect one them has gone to the dogs. My next step is to remove the cutting deck to expose all the micro switches and associated wiring and hopefully I may be able to correct the problem.

Thanks Ernest! Mine is also a 1998 hydrostatic 260H, the brake micro switch is the first one I'll check. I already by-passed the seat sensor switch, however, I'll check them all and hope it starts, I'd hate to trash it as its been the best tractor ever, and its been running perfectly until now. If I can't getting going again it will give me a reason to purchase a new 4WD tractor.

Good show, Mike. And just in time too with the heat. I read a study once which found that Tuesdays are the most productive days in the work environment. I also had an astoundingly productive day yesterday out of nowhere.

Doing well! The build is going slow as usual. Still trying to figure out the best way to strip the undercoating off the body. Otherwise lots of cleaning, powder coating and plating going on right now.

Hey buddy, I've been reading your posts and you've been a busy bee lately, I love those unforeseen productive days, they are always welcomed!
If the PNW torrential rains subside by tomorrow maybe I'll cut the chimney hole through the exterior wall of my shop, and possibly install the thimble, otherwise I'll have to take care of some honey
do's.

I rebuilt a burned up BadBoy mower. I had a few electrical gremlins, so I tested all the micro switches and relays... after removing, testing, adding electrical grease and reinstalling. All is well. My connections were corroded.

Hey Douglas, I love the before and after pics!
I cleaned all the relays (4) and they are good to go, I'm pretty sure it's one of the micro switches that's corroded, I'll post pics as soon as I get to them, waiting for the temp to go up a bit before I head to the shop this morning.
