Feeling pretty defeated right now. Between the heat with added humidity and the truck fighting me every step of the way, I am not as far along as I would like to be. Wiring is about 80% done but untested. Still need to connect a couple hoses and fill with coolant. Add gas and try to start.
Hopefully things go smoother this week.....

I know it will be done soon, but not soon enough for one of my favorite car shows this weekend. I am gonna relax and get it done when it's done. I will go to the show sans truck, but it will still be a good time.

Thanks for the kind words from everyone so far. It's been a mostly fun build, except for the last few weeks. Just keep running into issues and the unrelenting heat.

Jack, I don't think that looked any better from the factory.

It fired up, runs and idles good with no smoke. I have some electrical gremlins though, but I figure that out. Good thing is no weird noises or leakage so far. Possible test drive later after the sun goes down some.

Dang… you’ve built a beautiful looking truck from the ground up faster than I’ve had I’ve been able to put a wrench to my truck.

I’ll admit it has been a challenging 8 months for me, but if I’d managed to accomplish 1/4 of what you’ve done, I’d be putting the finishing touches on mine. This year my big goal is to install a newer centre diff housing with 3.70 gears and transfer my disc knuckles onto it. Hopefully it’ll happen this year, but so far it’s not looking promising.

Keep up the good work. :D

Nice! First drive is always a huge milestone

Thanks everyone. Now I can go back to enjoying life. There's still a few items to finish, but it moves under its own power.
Once I get the issues dealt with, you'll start to see some adventures with this truck.
