Went to the swap meet this morning. When I got back to my truck, I found it made a Jeep friend. Pretty cool.

Wipers aren’t optional here. We’d probably have to have our vehicle safely inspected if we were caught driving on the road without any. I wish i had an extra motor kicking around for you.
If I didn't know Better I'd think these fenders came from your donor... but they were from an Idaho 40 sold to someone local here.

Fortunately they appear to be in decent condition. And, unlike the tub that had a gallon or two of Bondo on the rear 1/4s.

There's no safety inspections here. My no wipers are definitely an item I could be ticketed for though. I rarely drive this and try not to if there's any rain.
We don’t have regular safety inspections here, but if an officer questions the safety of your vehicle… or sees any deficiencies (no wipers, broken tail light, burnt out headlight… rust hole(s)) they can either give you 30 days to have it pass a vehicle inspection or if they feel your vehicle is dangerous (or you pissed them off) your vehicle is off the road until it passes a vehicle inspection.

Mandatory inspections stopped in the 80s.

Jeep drivers need friends with Landcruisers. Someone needs to be there to pull them out and drag them back home.

Many years ago, in my open diff fj40, a square body Blazer and a 1978 Bronco tried following me up "Locker Hill". The Blazer with a limited slip couldn't make it up after four tries. The full size Bronco blew his rear diff on his third attempt. For comparison sake I was able to drive the 40 up the hill and through the obstacles by driving at a steady (fairly slow) pace... little to no momentum required.

The Blazer owner begrudgingly accepted a tow.
