Fwiw, we do stock OEM tie rod ends @ Cruiser Outfitters and offer OEM tie rod end kits for many applications (7x/8x/10x,etc) however for the 40 Series, we offer it as a complete OEM Toyota linkage kit:

Shows out of stock but I bet we can assembled another complete kit. They include

You asked it the kit is fake, search for the part number and you will find they are a Chinese part only and not a Toyota part.
I dont know what your saying. search the part? where? google? did that. didnt see anything about china but saw lots of kits for sale. searched this forum, zero results. searched amayam, zero. called the dealership. nothing ... this is enough bad attempts at teaching people how to look for things. i know how to look for stuff on the internet just fine. hit me with the screen shot of your "just search" location and results, would love to know what your talking about.

good to know for the future. thanks! I only need the drag link end tho. hahaha, this was not as big an issue as everyone has made it out to be. I just need the one single end, but found this kit and might just buy them all for the same as two as why not? but in the case there fake which apparently they are, ill just buy the single, which ive done. all good. thanks everyone.

The manufacture part number listed for the eBay part is "Manufacturer Part Number 4504069040X". Use Google or whatever search engine you like and the only responses that I got came back to Chinese suppliers. Since nothing came back as being from Japan or Toyota, what do you think?

@calen

It seems like you asked a question and it got answered.

Onur (@OGBeno) chimed in and he’s the second most knowledgeable parts guy around these parts.

Kurt verified he has OEM TRE’s and it was confirmed the parts you asked about are likely Chinese = fake.

We all love a happy ending.

dude what? you dont think i googled it? cmon dude. you got to be joking. do it again. rad cruisers has a tie rod item with that number sans the X. the toyota catalogue has the number sans the X. I clearly dont work at toyota or have an intimate knowledge of there numbering system, or the possibility of a new addition to the parts system for the newly manufactured heritage parts... and no Chinese manufacturers come up 😂 so...thats what I think. and Ill repeat, if you see a post that smells like someone didn't do there homework, dont click on it and move on.

Maybe Canadian google and US google return different results? Seriously.

I also got a rash of fake China made results when inputting the number you originally posted.

Click on this link which is a Google search and feel free to direct me to any result that is from Japan or Toyota.

If you can't believe my search results than rely on the site experts which have given you their input.

I'm not mad. You stated that your local Toyota dealer could not find that part number listed in their system, which should be a clue. I simply stated that my search results only resulted in Chinese sources and nothing from Japan or Toyota. Logic would then dictate that the seller was selling fake Toyota parts.

It's your decision on which parts you choose to buy and hope you get what you need.

so essentially you didnt have to type anything or say anything in here? added nothing of value. but you did. cool. what? maybe you like to come to your own conclusions based on blurry info and act on it. I prefer to have someone like OGBeno confirm what I think before passing up on a good deal cause I didn't "figure it out myself" right. you do you man. didn't think it was gonna bother you so much to ask a simple question. god forbid.

a fugazi.
I learned a new word today.

I like it.

I think I know what it means. Maybe.

May this put this thread out of it's misery!

The Fugazi originally were a side-branch of the African Plains Pigmies, most closely related to the Fugawi tribe...
