I’ve got some of the small handheld titan flaring tools that are size specific. These work great when the line is on the vehicle. I also have that Eastwood tool and the extra die set to do AN flares. I’ve used it on stainless, NiCopp, aluminum. Really happy with it and it is a huge timesaver. I think the Amazon versions are a direct copy. I got the Eastwood one because there was a bundle with the AN dies and I think any warranty support may go smoother.

I got the running boards installed. Cleaning and painting more small bits and pieces. My repop fenders arrived today as well. Might try and get the fenders and hood painted.....but that depends alot on the temperature.

You might want to get the fenders fit before to paint them, be a shame if you had to make minor fitting adjustments and scratch the paint.

I just noticed you are in Phoenix. I drove my 40 around Phoenix for about a week. Unfortunately I never saw any other 40 series. With the exception of an old Ieep and an older Chevy pickup all the cars on the road were late 90s. Almost everything was less than 5 years old. Would have loved to do some wheeling while I was there… but that ship sailed long long ago.

Working on lots of various items. More cleaning and painting. Got a new rear main installed without issue this time. Then installed the clutch and pressure plate. Added the repainted heater box, parking brake lever and some lower dash pads.
Need to prep a trans and transfer case case next. Not a fun job as they all need major degreasing and reseal.

More painted bits. Bolted on the battery mount with new oem tray.

Modified the trans cover to except the transfer case shifter. Then got it coated in Lizard Skin sound deadening. Let that dry, then heat barrier. Then paint.

Heat barrier is cured and trans cover is ready for paint. Tire carrier parts are getting painted now.

My order from Toyota showed up today. This is the first of many parts that should be here this week.
I think I am beginning to see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Bolted on a few of those oem parts tonight. Voltage regulator, drain cock, snd column seal. My new distributor showed up too.

Good thing I have several trans/transfer combos. I choose the cleanest one to start with.....and it's junk. I pulled the nose cone off the rear and rust that looks like coffee grounds sprinkled out. Then I removed the shifter off the transmission and its rusty and filled with water.
I know a couple of my spares are good. They are just covers in thick crud.
On the upside, all the floor shift linkage is good and I can swap that over.

Alittle bit everyday.......New oem turn signal switch is in. Bolted on the tire carrier. Need to adjust the latch and make spacers for the tire mount.

New oem fuel pump and aftermarket starter. It's even smaller than the typical gear reduction starter. Time will tell.

Pulled in another 3 speed combo. This one is much crustier, but the inside looks great.
