Cleaned up a few more dash switches. Not the correct vintage, but it's what I got. Found all the horn button goodies. Just need a new contact and spring. Gonna leave the button in it's original condition.

I'm in the same situation with the horn, just need the spring and contact. Cruiser looks great.
This works for a FJ40 spring and contact (horn) with just a little tweaking.

Just another project on MUD that absolutely blows my mind. The talent here is unbelievable. Really good stuff, Jack. So impressive to me!

Today was kind of a bust. The trans clean up and reseal took all day and still not 100%. The crud was like chipping off cement. There was a pice the size of a baseball.....no joke. So, I now have a somewhat better cleaner unit to use. It seems good and I am moving forward despite its ugliness.

Thanks @firemanj92 for the part number. Will try that out.

New tools and more parts showed up. It supposed to be the hottest weekend so far this year. Hopefully the swamp cooler will hold that off and I can make some progress this weekend. Lots of loose ends to wrap up.

Those “brake line forming tool”s are worth their weight in gold in tight spots. After one of the older hydraulic shop techs loaned me his for a day, I jumped on the opportunity to have my own whim I saw a pair for sale.

The swamp cooler is keeping the garage temps below 85 at the hottest part of the day. It's averages about 78 to 80 most the day.
I am working on some easy stuff today. Bolted on the water pump. Added the head lights with rebuilt buckets to the bib. Then assembled the radiator, shrould, and mount. Working on the parking brake and trans shifter now.

Thanks. When it's hot, you run the risk of dry spray. Ideally most paints like temps in the 70s. Better quality paints can be adjusted through what reducer is used.

Since I am spraying Rustoleum and not doing any buffing afterwards. I try to paint at the best time / temperature. My standards are not that high as I will wheel this truck. If you wheel in AZ, it's gonna get desert pin stripping.
