Very cool. Where is my invite?I have slowly been working on finishing the wood in the office. With job disruptions starting mid January, it has been difficult to get the clear coat applied. Hopefully tomorrow I can finish the first coat.
On a brighter note I have been getting some of my decorations hung. This is the majority of the large ones. There are still a lot of smaller ones to find places for.
For those that haven’t seen the build thread of my 45, the bib and dash were original to my rig.

Ok we'll plan a day. It's looking really good over there. No invite needed Jason, you are always welcome here sir!
Bob if you look back a few pages you can see the underlying construction method. I used furring strips every few feet and then painted both walls flat black.WOW
Really beautiful! So what under the planks? ie whats the construction?
The black really sets off the entire room.
For me I would hate to scar the wood by hanging a picture up there!

Found it Thanks!Bob if you look back a few pages you can see the underlying construction method. I used furring strips every few feet and then painted both walls flat black.
Al I know you’re looking forward to receiving the 45 tomorrow. I’m betting you won’t get much sleep tonight.I remember guessing what the project was as you painted the walls black… still reminded me of Edison’s Black Mariah.
by the way. Got a call today..the FJ45 is arriving at my house tomorrow….5 months !
Did you color the narrower strips?
Rent a trencher and get after it. 115' is nothing. So Michael, did you bury a water feed from the main supply at the house? This is a terrific benefit and I found myself questioning how I might do this here. My closest source of water is about 115’ away. Currently I have two 50’ rubber hoses and another 75’ rubber hose running from the spigot in the back of the house. Dragging it over the fence and across the gravel drive is a chore. It is heavy and a convenient attachment in the pole barn would be great but a bunch of work and needs to be safe from freezing or blown out in winter. I am envious
you don’t realize what a nice option that water is until you need to rinse something off
Al during construction I trenched in a water line from the back of the house to the back of my shop. I knew I would want a sink and spigot out there. I have a spigot on the back of the house. So I drilled through the block, below grade, ran my supply line into my crawl space to tap that spigot. There are pictures of all of this in this thread. So Michael, did you bury a water feed from the main supply at the house?
