I did a thing...

About 2 years ago I was at Sebsports in Dubai. He does some really good work with Land Cruisers and the occasional Defender, etc. He had 3 front clips in the shop from Japanese FJ60 Fire trucks. All were very low miles and one only had 6k Kilometers. They use them for restorations (yes loose term; more like restomods) where the owner wants to upgrade an FJ40 or 45 to front disk brakes, PS, 3F, and 5 speed. I suspect many of the old fire trucks are getting cut up for that purpose.

Another interesting thing (I think) is it has a slide out ash tray built in to the dash. I've never seen an ash trash on these...

I have one on mine. Will show you next time we have our pigs together.

showed my wife this pig, her head shaking as she said, You guys must all have a pig chromosome, this is just crazy. whats next a pig ambulance? i said no ambulance, we would be dead by the time they made it to hospital
Pig ambulance would be the bomb!

"Get me to the ospedale in my Pig amb-oo-lance!"

And if we don't make it, is there a Pig hearse? Now THAT would be cool. (Anyone ever seen Harold and Maude?)

I never saw the movie but I did survey the house it was filmed in.

Was exploring Hobbes more today. (Yes, the firetruck is named Hobbes. Because I can. Guess what the pretty pig is called?)
Anyway, found more weirdness. There is a good sized oil cooler integrated in to the oil pan. sahelzer actually noticed it a couple weeks ago, but it was hard to see till I put it on the lift.
Also while I thought the t-case was a single speed cuz no shift lever, I discovered the t-handle right above the tach is the shift lever. And oddly, it shift to all three locations easily. No driving in figure 8s in reverse to get it to move.

Hoping for more weirdness!
