I have the factory UCAs yes. Never an issue.

200+ mile day. 85% dirt. TX border up the Guadeloupe range to Las Cruces

Crazy cold but stunningly beautiful

Back in the Whale for an epic multi part adventure. My little group are headed out to New Mexico and then over to Arizona.

Looking like a great trip. I have only one piece of advice. Avoid SE AZ, that beno guy hangs out there and he can be a bad influence.

I’m deaf. Some is hereditary some is the fact that I spent 10 years by jet engines and 30 years shooting with no hearing protection

Jonathan stopped me and said I had a bad rattle.

We kept trying to find it but we were on a shelf road that did not allow for much passenger side inspection.

Turns out this rock was in my wheel and it took out my rear caliper.

Gone. Broke it off.

I’ve been 3 wheel braking now for 500 miles

ask if he can change the brake like the race scene in the movie “Ford v Ferrari”. That’s how they were installed in Japan I heard

If he takes anymore time than they did he’s just milking the clock to make the bill higher.

Day 4 we awoke to 1* temps.

We skipped cooking and warmed out asses in the cruisers.

We made it down into the Gila which is a totally different ecosystem from the Cibola.

We holed up in Silver City last night and had superb food at La Cacita

We got up to head to see Beno. Silver City to Lordsburg on the Road then I saw a straight shot to Anamias.

Dirt. 50+ miles of it.

Next to the Chirichuaha. Beautiful. Rough.

Tombstone for a laugh Then to OLC

Reunited with @OGBeno and @OverLand Cruisers who is the absolute best

Beno sent us down into the San Rafael valley for a nice 80 mile loop to see the border “wall” and such. Pizza and live music at the Lumber Company before crashing at Beno’s shop

Add this to the list of wild s*** I’ve never seen before. That rock in my wheel broke both caliper bolts. It took about 200 more miles before they snapped off

Patagonia is a cool little town. Lumber company was not open last summer when I came through, but I'd been there on a previous trip. There are also good roads outside of Sonoita.
