Love to see Black hills sometime. Sitting at Pancake house in FOCO about to head south to explore Angel Fire/Taos area. Escape heat some more.
It is some beautiful country for sure.
As is Angle Fire. You might as well check out Eagle's Nest too!
LMK the next time you are fixing to head to the Fort. We can grab some pancakes!

We are staying in Eagles nest at the Laguna vista hotel. Staying there to explore the hills!

Taos....breakfast at Michael's Kitchen, chili rellenos at Doc Martin's for dinner.

Might as well go for a soak at Ojo Caliente while in the area. The Earthship community outside of Taos is worth a visit.

Some great recommendations for sure. Our Achilles heal this trip is Maggie. We are dragging her on this road trip which limits our options but we love having her with us.

Stopped in Alamosa for fuel and samdwich. Last time we came through here was driving The pig. Pretty cool area!

Great to finally stop by and visit Don and Deborah! Got to check out a bit of the farm, progress on the house, Pigs and parts, and then treated to a fish taco dinner at ‘The Office’. To top it off, he loaded me up with produce from the garden, and had a place for me to crash for the night before the last push to Grants Pass.
Can’t thank you enough, Don! Greatly appreciate the hospitality! Looking forward to next time ☺️

Holy moly, really enjoyed Eagle Nest and Angel Fire area. Beautiful area without the crowds we had when we lived in CO. I mean zero crowds, crazy considering the area.

Rented Can Am and drove around mountains for half day with the wife and dog. Only saw two folks tent camping and didn’t pass a single vehicle. Saw turkey, grouse and tons of elk tracks up high.

Lows in 40’s highs mid 70s. Quite different than Amarillo where we are waking up.

It’s on our list to take a pig when able. Next time gonna rent boat and catch some pike.

Tried to use some of this yesterday and I'm afraid it has finally become too dry. My father loved this stuff and as far as I know this was the only can of it he ever had. May of either '68 or '69 date. Not sure I can bring myself to toss the can.

Solven is probably something like naptha
Aka zippo lighter fluid.
Adding a few drops may revitalize the can.

Feeling slightly stunned. The funeral director’s husband and son delivered the ashes in person. We had them in for coffee. Delightful and caring people.

Let the healing begin!

Cheers, brothers.

Sorry that appears so random... lol. I had multiple threads open and posting. But, the point stands.

The post above was in regard to my BIL's passing.

100% this...
A new can of Never-Dull is $7.50 on the Amazon.
New wadding in dad's old can for the win!!!
Yes I saw that it was still available. Thanks

Top secret cause if Kim finds out I sent pic I’m a dead man!

Swapped out new battery in big tractor (quite the the task) and I’m off to hook up to bat wing. Hauled old battery to town during chores with Clyde as we always do. Had to pick up watermelon in front of tractor supply and new bed for new dog (Tess).

Caught wife in swimsuit trying to get new dog (rescue x2 days) into front pond to swim. Apparently Kim took swim yesterday also while I was at work.
