Guy likes ’em beige. Can’t say I blame him. Now I won’t feel so bad about building a fleet of beige Cruisers.
Probably 99% of the 4X Land Cruisers in the middle east were tan. I'm positive that Troopy that got painted Buffalo Brown (or similar) was originally tan. He did have one white 40 in there but I didn't take a photo of it. Once in a blue moon you will see an 80+ over here that is white.

I lied. Of course I took a photo of it.

Some of the truly anal Porsche folks use plastic car bags they can drive their vehicles inside.

Had an incredible day yesterday. An unbelievable Land Cruiser enthusiast a few hours north of Riyadh had some seat covers made for my Troopy and invited me up for the afternoon. The afternoon turned into a camel kabsa meal in the desert as well as hours of discussing all things around life, love, and Land Cruisers. I posted a lot of photos under my Troopy thread but thought I would share a few here.

Dune beige is the color of choice over there, eh?

I am surprised more of them aren't white!

I would say almost all 40 series, more than half of the 60 series, almost all 70 series, and about half of the 80 series are tan (or beige depending on year - dune first and then tan). More than half of the 100 series and almost all 200 series are white. The 55s came in a mixture of colors. The one in the photo is a '79. The white 40 series that he has is very rare for Saudi. If you see any color other than beige or tan on 40s over here (with the exception of white in a very few late models) it is not original - guaranteed.

I spy a mid-80's Caprice Classic...
All original, 6000 km, blue velour interior. I think he was a GMC/Chevy dealer.

What year? My friend has a white/blue Classic - 1988. Right before they went fuel injection...
He told me but I don't remember. 1986 rings a bell but I will ask him and let you know.

Problem is this same exact thing happened when the stock market became Volatile in the 80s. Everyone invested in Muscle cars! Fords and Chevys, no one wanted Mopars! They do now! This is whats driving the market and regular Joes cant afford it unless theyre sitting on one. 55s havent Peaked yet or got a lot of exposure! But the Prices keep going North, and will continue to. So Squeeze your 🐷 every chance you get. 😯😳😏🤔😉🤣😘😘😘
