I will be curious what you think! I put what I think is an Aero Turbine (not Jones) on my Civic, and it wears on me. Around town is okay, but climbing up to Eisenhower Tunnel on I-70 (WOT in 3rd gear) is too much. Maybe if I drove that car more gently it would not be so bad, but I can't help it. She likes it like that...

I am guessing it will be. That Civic engine is probably turning over ~5000 RPM under those conditions. Guessing your diesel will be turning a little slower...

Dave, I have run the aero turbines on several Dodge's of mine. You heard my Dodge when I delivered Hamp to Austin... That was an Aero. I have one on Goss now and like the sound at any MPH or RPM, running 3" pipe.

I bought the 3030XL Areo muffler that looks exactly like the Jones you bought.
I’ve read on the nets that the 6BT guys claim a HP increase when they have dyno’ed with and without the Aero muffler’s, it’s also supposed to help quite a bit with the drone that the Cummins engines have at certain RPM’s.

I’ll be interested to hear how you like it.

You don't want straight pipe, you get a nice drone at HW speed ... especially with a 4-speed . I'm running a similar Magniflow on mine -

Got any pics of your exhaust setup?

I got the TinyTach installed, but I didn't have a good spot for it so I temporarily mounted it. It works though.

I also installed the manual shutdown button/valve. Works great.

Is that going to be your primary shutdown method? I'm going to try to have mine keyed. I'll use a manual a manual glow though...kind of like a theft deterrent.

Will yours start without glowing?

No, it's an indirect injection engine so it will always need to be glowed.

Yeah, both the glow and shutdown are manual.
