I had the same fridge conundrum as you. Ended up doing this..you can see it in the left corner. The bench I'm laying on flips into a bed for downstairs stealth camping.

I'm having a whale of a time exploring Oman in the Troopy.
Can't bear the thought of taking it back off the road for a few weeks to finish the interior, but I guess it's a means to an end.
Read start to finish. Really nice work and I will continue to follow along.
Builds - Portland Troopy Build
I recently purchased a 1990 BJ75 Troopy from gilmorneau. You may recall his "Tale of Two Troopies" post. He found himself in a position where he had bought two Troopies so I helped him with his "problem." ( I now have that problem as well but that will be in another post at a later date.) Question from post 47 about the struts. You said that the top is now very hard to pull down. What strength struts are you using? Do you think if you had more weight on the roof that it would be easier to pull down? I'm thinking of putting some "stuff" on the top, keeping in mind the center of gravity. Would appreciate your thought on that.
I'm kinda in your corner on the AluCab top. There are some things that I think could sure be better. I'm in Oregon and it can get a bit cold here. The top is "very" tight......hard to close it with a down comforter and pillows. Not sure what they were thinking there. Not the best fit/finish in the world either....esp for the cost.
Goexplore,
I'm curious with regard to your statement that "I need to do something with the brakes as with these tyres, and all this weight, the stock set up is really struggling."
My UAE reverse import has arrived and I was wondering what you have planned to remedy this?
