Hi All,

Starting a thread to track my build.

I’ll update it once I get my laptop back up, but for now I’ll paste some pictures. Once the laptops back up I’ll provide a more detailed build overview.

My goal is to get the cruiser ready to take the trip from the Florida keys to the top of Alaska in 2 years. Still have a lot of work to do in order to prepare.

Here is a pic when I first got her.

Installed an ARB full roof rack, snorkel, and some method rims (17x8.5+0). I had to customize a bracket to make the ARB rack fit properly.

Picked a boat up too…because Florida.

I also picked up a TRD supercharger (9th injector). Sending it out to get rebuilt end of June early July. Pics are not the greatest, but I have everything for the swap except the ECU. The person I bought it from is working on removing it from her vehicle, so if I get it I might not need to get a standalone.

Anyways, looking forward to getting the build thread going and gaining valuable/constructive feedback to help me along in this journey.

Tanabe SS medallion exhaust
Reupholstered headliner & armrest
LED high/low beams
LED cluster lights
Double-din monitor
Backup cam

Slight update.

Earlier this year, Father’s Day to be exact, the transmission on my Land Cruiser decided to go out. I purchased a used transmission from a 1998 cruiser as a temporary fix as I’m waiting for a 8hp conversion kit that’s compatible with the 100 series.

I had to swap the shifter sensor from my 00 trans to the 98 trans as the connectors were not the same.

Anyways, I finished installing the transmission earlier today and started it up for the first time in 5 months. Fired up like a dream, engine runs like a top.

However, check engine light came on throwing the following codes:

P0753 - shift solenoid a
P0758 - shift solenoid b
P1769 - manufacturer control
P0773 - shift solenoid e electrical

Im kind of at a loss here. Fluid level is good. I try to clear out the codes, but they’ll CEL will come back immediately with the same codes.

Any thought?
