Hey yall I have a 1982 fj45 troopy that I’m building and I’m wondering what I should do for a roof rack, I havnt had any luck finding one online and I’m not sure how to attach one, I’m considering getting with some buddies and welding one, wondering if anyone might have one for sale by chance or if there’s any ideas or expertise yall might have!

@nakman You got anything?
yo what's up bud... heck yeah we make a Troopy rack... 2 versions actually. If it needs to ship we'd do it in separate pieces, kind of like we do for the Mega Cruiser, or BJ43 bodies... that way the crate stays under 8' and doesn't get dinged for being oversize. The two racks are planar to each other, functionally may as well be one rack.

you can see the gap better from the side

but if the rack can be picked up here, then yes we can definitely do a FJ45 rack in one piece. I hope to have some install pics of this in a few weeks, once this rack hanging in stock here gets picked up. This one will be kinda unique, in that it has a set back Expo bar in front (like we do on the FJ55's) so that it can fit a bunch of Nacho lights up there. I mocked that up in CAD prior to building, here you go...

And yes we also sell "just the towers" if you want to build your own, you want the extended height version of the rain gutter towers.

email is best for specific questions, quotes, etc. thanks for the shout out Jim! :cheers:
