Got my kiddo back on the trail. She's been hounding me for a bit to go wheeling and camping.

She was showing me her guns.

She took a TON of pics last weekend. I like this one because she got herself in it.

Her little sis might be coming with on a Dusy trip coming up.

(and yes, dad was in charge of her hair for the weekend. )

I definitely enjoy having her on the trail with me. The youngest always gets sad when the oldest and I leave for a trip so I need to be getting her some seat time.

Finally got some bump stops on this pile. Most of them anyway. (hydro assist lines are in the way on the driver side.)

A couple of guys at the shop have been running these progressive bumps on their trucks. I figured I'd try them out since I needed some bumps on my rig.

These things are great. They work awesome on the street and help keep the truck flat when cornering.

On the trail they are even better. Even with carrying decent speed through sections on my trip this past weekend with some sudden dips and drops there was no harsh jarring in the truck.

I have them set to bottom out right about when the spring goes flat and it works great.

They are a Daystar Bumpstop. We get ours direct from Daystar. I believe we sell them for right around $45 (not positive) for a pair but we don't have them on the website just yet.

I really like them. They work great and don't give you that wonderful "thud" like other stops when you contact them.

After the rear discs my pedal would lock the brakes but it would go a lot lower than I liked. I felt part of it might be that I still had the factory Prop valve in the system but wasn't sure. A buddy @ work had an extra 1" bore master cylinder from a drum rear truck he said I could have. After pulling the factory prop valve and putting on the new (to me) master, the pedal is nice and firm again.

And on a side note, on my last trip out the seal on my ram went out.

I was able to plug the box and just tie the lines up out of the way. I cleaned up as much of the soiled .......soil as I could and cleared the ram before moving on.

Where did you get the ram from?

It's a Surplus Center ram. I've run them for years on various projects and this is the first I've had that has leaked. I'm not too worried about it since they have a great track record with me as well as many people I've referred their direction.

thanks to your truck and a couple of others i have been swayed form SOA and 37's to SOA and 39.5's....

I will be using my OME spring i have currently but will be playing with the spring packs to set it down a little lower and if they get to worn i can add the pack back in later. I like how you moved the rear springs back 3" as well as the way you and i forget who else did the rear wheel wells. I had been battling over moving the rear axle back due to the cutting and how to make it look uniform. well now im not worried about it!

Well it's been a while and not a lot has happened. Been really busy. The 60 has spent most of the last 5 months on the trailer on the side yard. I pulled it off twice for trips on the Dusy Ershim and twice for Rubicon trips.

The last trip out was for work. We spent the day on the Rubicon shooting a commercial with Todd Stanley productions (Film crew for Deadliest Catch) for the shop that aired during Experience El Dorado - Episode 6: Rubicon

They even threw a bit of our footage into the show. My piles cameo can be seen @ 2:56 in the back It was a good time and they were a great bunch to hang out with.

I still need to get the new steering ram mounted. That's been sitting in a box for the last couple of months. Also got some goodies for Christmas that need to get put in.

I got my wife a movie and some Uggs and she goes and gets me this collection.

There are 2 large boxes that haven't come in just yet but I'm really looking forward to getting this pile installed. Best part, I think the wife was as excited about her Uugs as I was about my gift. She's Awsome!!!

I need to get after it as the kiddos are hounding me to go snow wheeling. Hopefully get this in in the next couple of weeks and then hit the white stuff shortly after that.

Did you need a new carrier with the 14b?

I don't quite understand the carrier break with the 14b and how there are "thick" gears and "thin" gears in the same ratio.

Your wife is a smart shopper-she must have had a very specific list.
