So now what is your weakest link in the system?

With everything beefed up, I assume it is the ring of the pinion?

My suspicion is it'll be the shafts up front. Even though they are 30 spline, I think they will be most likely.

Other than that it's probably the u-joints. I need to replace a couple as the front end has been wrapping like crazy. I'm adding 1 leaf to each side now that it has broken in. That should help the wrap situation tremendously.

Another project I've been wanting to do for a bit. I finally got around to it a couple of nights ago.

It should help take a fair amount of the shear load off the studs. Didn't cost anything but a bit of my time and a little key stock.

that is a really really good/simple idea, you sir, are a junior bacon genius burger! I bet that would add a ton of strength. I wish I had that done to mine, with the 40's and death wobble I have had to snug up the knuckle bolts a more than a few times, this would have saved me some work.

I guess showing up at work with a set of six shooter knuckles might be a bad career move eh.
You have chosen... wisely.
Love the truck.

Yup. I've been running Toy studs on every Toy housing I've run and I just always check them before going wheeling. They are rarely loose and I've never lost a stud yet with hydro assist on all of those housings too. This is just a bit of added strength due to the tire size.

With some help from a guy @ work, I got the rear gears and ARB setup Saturday morning. Everything went together really nice. Only snag we encountered was the 14 bolt to Toy flange I got from Jess had too big a diameter to fit through my Ruff Stuff pinion guard.

I just chucked it up in the lathe and turned it down by probably 1/4" on the radius.

It's a pretty big chunk of steel.

Regarding the Toyota flange, did it come with the right pattern? Did you drill it or did HAD? Are you going to run FJ60 drivelines or minitruck?

Looking really fantastic.

It has the Mini pattern already drilled and tapped. The second ring has another pattern that looks to be the 11 mm pattern but I haven't taken the time to look at it yet.

I'm probably going to run mini shafts as I'm going to turn the pinion up and run a CV on the back end. I have access to plenty of Mini CV shafts so that will make it easier.
