Does anyone know the fitting size of the transmission cooler hardlines on the FJ62? They are bigger than the 14mm fittings that go into the radiator. Trying to finish up my aux cooler install and Want to order the correct AN- fitting adapter. Thanks for any help!

I dont know but I will be adding a trans cooler to my 62 very soon as well. Looking forward to this answer.

The diameter of the thread is 16mm so I am going to guess its 16mm x 1.5 thread. I'll report back with the answer in a couple days.

So to high jack for a second what size is the trans cooler line in the radiator? I have a 60 with a champion radiator. I want to put a plug in the fitting on the radiator, I think I have a leak there and it would solve my problem. Hopefully.

The radiator has a 14mm x 1.5 thread for the factory line fittings. Not sure if the Champion has the same fitting but maybe!

Ok so the hard line fitting size is M16x1.5 . The trick now is finding a 6AN Male to M16x1.5 Female inverted flare fitting. Anyone have any leads?

Close but no. I am looking for a fitting with a female M16x1.5 inverted flare end with a male -6AN. After a lot of googling and calls to hose suppliers this fitting is either super rare or does not exist. They do make a female M16x1.5 to -6AN male fitting but it doesn't have the needed inverted flare in the female end. Bummer. So to get around this, and something I should have noticed before, is to cut the old OEM hoses and use the end fittings with new constant compression clamps for the new hoses- post #2: FJ62 Transmission Oil cooler install

Just to add an update...
I hope this is what you were referring to. I just ordered it but it appears to be you wanted.

I went to Parker Hoses in San Leandro, CA. We had to go through all their bins on the wall to get an adaptor to go from the new hoses to the old hard lines. I did not have to cut anything. I routed the new lines and adaptors to the old lines on top of the rock shield. Worked out great. I will post some pictures when I get time of my transmission oil cooler install. I thought of running a toggle switch and get a second temp sender unit so I can see the temps of the oil going into the cooler as well as coming out. The toggle would go before the gauge. BTW, I installed the temp sender right at the oil cooler outlet instead of at the transmission.

Wow, I did the very same thing today while installing my tranny cooler... They have everything there.. A little overwhelming with the selection they had...
