Builds FJ55V : This little piggy came home.

Howdy all.
Quick update. Have been in lockdown due a recent outbreak of Covid in Sydney NSW, big deal considering no recorded cases for almost 3 months. The 2H has been suffering from producing a large volume of White Smoke whilst running. We'll be replacing the glow plugs and checking for any injector issues, throw in a compression test and see how this motor is.

Aiming for 400psi.

See if I am up for a rebuild/New motor.

Parts have arrived for the Transfer Case 2WD/4WD seal.

Should be able to do it without taking apart the Transfer.

You’re right, you won’t need to take the case apart, just have to remove the linkage. It’s a two-piece setup with the seal and boot.

Turns out I had ordered the wrong seal. Nothing a bit of RTV Sealant and a good clean will do.
Reinstalled with a new boot and works mickey mouse!

Got back into some welding and finished off the first round of the floor. Going to flap grind the high mount down and then weld back around all the holes I missed.

Hello friends.
I've been out of action the last few weeks with Work/Covid restrictions here in NSW.

Made some good progress with the intercooler. Pipework needs to arrive and I need to make a bracket today so we finish off.

Rust repairs start with the front end. Bonnet front section reskinned and pinch welded like factory.

Intercooler Heights worked out well for the scoop entry.

Had a few days off and jumped right back into it.
Intercooler mounted and paint trialing. Love the green.

55's new home. We're finally starting on the roof rust. Needed to remove the 33's and slap on some Toyota Prius wheels. Bit of a difference!
