Possible fitment of the rear winch. Fits perfect over the top of the chassis. Need to build a plate and install some longer bolts before I intergrate it into the rear bar.

Started with the rear section floor.
Took the time to cut it to shape however in my haste cut it too short.
Time to make a second peice that will actually fit and tac into place.

Man, I need a rear winch. You can't always depend on your buddy to pull you back out of a muck hole. :)
Plus it would alleviate a real shortage of cool things on your Pig.

Will the winch be hitch mounted and brought out as needed? At the risk of getting 15 saggy butt pictures, looks like it it would kill your departure angle as placed..
It'll be raised up inline with the chassis. Hard to take a photo and hold a can of beer at the same time.

Welding mods ready for the weekend.
It's not dodgey if it gets the job done.

Dummied up the Water Tank. Will need to reroute the Handbrake and build a bracket for the front mount. Enough room to clear the tailshaft and exhaust

Got a few hours on the grinder today and cleaned up the drivers floor. It had started to surface rust.
Have the day off tomorrow so should get the rear floor section welded in.

Going to be channelling my inner bobm

Passenger foot well surface rust removed. Super happy to see it with some protection.

Two spots always look killer to me- When I have shaped the peice and it fits perfectly and after I have ground it down! Wish I could weld well and I would just leave all my welds for the world to see :0
Nice work, I bet your stoked!
Thanks mate.
Those welds are a mix of short butt tack welds and 1inch stitches. There's plenty of disaster i covered up with the flap disc.

I have a few other projects I'll leave the beads exposed if I'm happy. Considering I'm using the 'Squint and Squeeze' method due to a lack of welding helmet.

This long weekend I drove over 2000km (~1300miles) for some car parts.
Some organised and some spontaneous but all 55 related.

Tomorrow's job is to mount one and check fitment for another. May even drink a beer.

Long weekend bought the spoils.
Here's how it went together.
Bar will need some work to connect the front points.
