My dad’s 55 in my avatar had this setup with the 327, was quirky- if you were on the reserve tank you had to back up steep hills. I think it had a manual selector under the dash, I remember there was a fuel door cut in the drivers front fender.

Next on the list I will be attempting to bend up some pipe for a rear quater slider. This is the style Ill be after. Welded right to the Tow Bar. Thoughts?

I've gone through your build a couple of times in anticipation of building mine, its coming along really well.
I was wondering what the overall height of your 55 was. I'm thinking the 75 series springs are the way to go, and was thinking of a set of Parabolics from Westralia springs, but it might not fit in my carport!
Hey Mate! Ill shoot you a measurement over the weekend. Itll be sitting on 2" lifted 75 Series Springs, Standard Shackles and 33 inch tyres. Its roughly 2100/2200mm from memory with about 100kg of gear, full fuel tank and spare tyre.
Hey mate.Cheers, did you have to redrill the rear springs? And what bushes did you use.
Thanks for that, food for thought. Rest of the work is looking good.Hey mate.
HZJ75 Springs need the rear leafs perches moved back 100mm or so. Didn't move the front.
Diffs ended up 3inches further apart, but no issues with clearence, just need a longer front tail shaft.
