Well, I have waited until it was actually in my possession to list. I flew out and bought it on the side of a mountain in Arizona. I am not really a "patina" guy but going to be hard to change any of the body (except for getting rid of and patching radio and speaker holes). I will be asking lots of advice but plan on a 2F, 4speed, disc brakes.

Sweet plate. I wouldn't change a thing...just drive it and enjoy it.

She's a creampuff.

@Wadesters did all the factory literature come with it? Microfiche too? I bet that old guy has some stories to tell?!?! Was he the original owner? She’s a crème puff!

What a treasure. Went to a deserving new home, thats for sure!

Are you going to share the story on how you found it? Catching an FJ45 like this is like trying to fish for salmon with your bare hands while the vultures are sitting on your shoulders clawing into you!

Out of all the FJ40's and few FJ45's I have had really never had a build thread. This FJ45 has a lot of history and I hope to add to it so I guess a Build thread is warranted. I will start one soon.

Great find!! Was the previous owner on Mud? Poor old guy looked sad seeing it go.

Previous owner was a recluse didn’t like being around people. He definitely lived “off the grid”. No phone cell or home. Only way to get to his place was google map, gps would not find it.
No internet so most definitely not a mud member.
We did up having a good connection. The FJ45 was his baby but sadly, his health is failing and did not want his daughter to have to contend with everything when he is gone.

She looks solid, good luck with your build. Let me know if you need a windshield frame.

Congrats that’s a great looking 45! I agree the diagonal fresh air intake and lower windshield vent all point to a ‘65 build date.

What are the plans?
