I am in Kanab and my time is somewhat flexible. How can I help or join in?
@Reznugget is in Chinle, AZ. I'm working with him on scheduling a baton (briefcase) hand-off in the Four Corners area soon. I'm in North-Central New Mexico. You're in a good spot to help get the briefcase across to the Las Vegas area.

I live within a couple of miles from a section of the continental divide trail
The sections close to me go through lines, onions, oak and juniper.
Up here in the northern part of the state we call them pines and pinons :-).

The deal is done, the pass was made. The CVS crowd made us very welcome and interested in our journey. The baton will be headed to Phoenix today and it's direction is now in the hands of @SOAZtim

There were 7 fj40s at the meet, but only got pics of 5.

Copper State Cruisers, CSC, not CVS as my phone wants to send
The group was very accommodating with us crashing the meeting
I didn't meet everyone and will probably not remember very many names, but to be around that many Cruiser addicts was inspiring
Hopefully if I am in Tucson at the same time as a meeting, i will be welcome even if not in my Cruiser
Thanl yuo CSC for your hospitality. Terry

We are in Buena Vista, Colorado. Keep us posted. We would like to join on a leg near us.

SOAZ Tim contacted me, but I will only be able to transport the baton from Tucson to Phoenix or from Phoenix to the next stop this upcoming weekend

after that, I'll be layed up with the left foot in a cast for quite a while . . .

Hopefully the briefcase will make it through to the Las Vegas area via me, @Reznugget, @kblomquist, and someone from Las Vegas. If so, the red toolbox could go from Phoenix directly to Southern California?

The briefcase may be set for a little action later this week. I plan on taking it with me to the Solid Axle Summit in Ouray, which would allow for a couple more MUD FJ40 owners to participate. Plus some more photo opportunities in the SW Colorado mountains. Then later this month another hand-off, this time to @Reznugget for its trip farther west.

Layed up?? Doesn't that cast mean you can shift better??? Ha!
Hope you get well soon--

thanks for the well wishes - I'll keep them in mind when I am waking up from surgery :D

tentatively, looks like SOAZtim and I can meet on Thursday afternoon . . .

and if I pick up the Baton this weekend, I either need to know where to deliver it this coming weekend, or somebody needs to pick it up from me in the next 4 weeks . . .

guys, this is the time to tell me more . . .

@tls3601 Tom, can you grab it from Claudia and get this toolbox baton headed to Havasu/Yuma/San Diego direction?

TOOLBOX UPDATE:
There are only 13 stickers left and there was only $11 in the box from those that paid. Bummer... So, I think it would be cool to chip in a little more than $1 per sticker if anyone can to make up the difference to @ginmtb and only take 1 sticker so the rest of the baton carriers can have a sticker.

I've removed the cash and paypaled Ginmtb the money and chipped in $3 extra.

Just IMHO. It's not all doom and gloom though, the Baton is RICH in dumdums!! :hillbilly::flipoff2:
