No pics of current shop occupants preferred and I fully understand and appreciate that, considering the contents.

Does make it hard to get better angles.

Going from front to back, at this point, so the inner fender/outer and hood fitting is next, along with correction measures on fenders, inner fender holes, and hood. Then, he said he's blasting it all and putting a bad ass epoxy primer on everything up front.

In the meantime, coating all of bobm's offerings with a weld through zinc, before replacing, since the bottom won't be immediately accessible to epoxy prime. He claimed its good stiff and at the expense, it better be.

He offered advice/input on the balance of parts I've consternated over (air cleaner:heater), being to gather all like finishes and wait until all feasible are off, he inspect for needed attention, then take to a local shop he suggested and have him blast and two part epoxy in a 202-ish color/sheen.

Only item he expressed any reservation above was the valve cover, since we're not pulling here, but says this guy could code to a high temp PC for whomever else may be doing and it'd be close enough for anything not trailered from show to show.

I'm good with that.

We both agreed that the inner fender and hood were the only redeemable components of the Cruiser Corp front clip and that I overpaid by 300%, considering the condition of the donor Pig 's condition and purchase price as a barometer, BUT that the hood of the Cruiser Corp transaction is absolutely perfect, short of adhesive, as is.

Since hood has more surface area than anything but the roof, I'll tell myself it was worth it.

There were a few pinholes in the fender well of the CC that he thinks he can patch, but going to pull the donor pigs and reserve rights to outers until a chance to blast and inspect.

I had an idea to use the donor pigs rear tailgate cover as a patch in the rear cargo floor and he seemed to think it might work, but stated to keep rear cargo floor of donor, just in case.

Pleasant discovery

As parts are being removed that won't be re-installed, we've an arrangement that I'll pick up to get out of his way, since the Pig is a temporary occupant of the shop. All incidentals are bubble wrapped, labelled, with fasteners bagged.

Progress!!

My next assignment is to get working hinges ready for install.

Delancy,

Did you ever talk to Roger Brown about the body mounts. If so, what do you think? Confused?

Chris.... You are taking this to another level as usual.... I'm either very impressed or very impressed... Not sure.

;)

Well, like I said, you are the only client with their own file folder for what you are working on with me. I think it still has more to go.

Haven't yet, Ron, but calling them is on the to do list for this week.

Know stock thickness is prescribed for mine and he has it listed on link provided, so will be a matter of ordering, I think, but after a recent deals worth of packages arrives.

Edited: I'm wordy. It is what it is....

I made a large purchase of misc components from Classifieds, including a bunch of stuff that had already been spoken for, but also included the discontinued SOR "kit".

Once I receive, going to systematically go through the thread respondents (have spoken to most in PMs, letting them know that the seller had remained in contact and wasn't actively following Mud thread. Nothing underhanded occurred, rest assured) and see who still wants what.

If I wind up with all of it, great. Can use every bit
( including body mounts). If everyone else agrees to pay what I did and a nominal amount for for shipping from seller, to them, then off it will go and I'll be on the phone ordering 4 Crawlers kit.

I'm very insane is what it is.

Remember where you posted this and when I'm 86% done and can't seem to finish, like the PP80, re-post.

Have a lot more to go....and not just on this Pig.

Probably need to add one for the PP80, cause she's not done yet, either.

Just redid the entire front end of the FJC, so should be good for another 50-60k, but rear axle will be coming up soon.

Awesome. Thanks, y'all.

Shane has pewter powder, but might possibly be able to match, be it PC or Cruiser Corps rattle can.

everything i've read in my research is that the rattle can pewters sold by cc, ccot and others isn't even close.

yes, you can buy the complete cross links with ends from Toyota.
part numbers:
45460A ROD ASSY, TIE
45460-69125 1 $412.69
45450 ROD ASSY, STEERING RELAY
45450-69075 1 $371.69

i didn't pay near that much for these ones ... sure is nice working with brand new parts that actually fit the first time.

okay
part number 45460-69135 tube is 42" with center of end at 48" with +/- 1" play
part number 45450-69085 tube is 30 1/4"" with center of end at 38" with +/- 1" play
so unless you go with 60 PS box, this relay rod won't work in your application.
hope this helps

Wayne, I just put these posts side by side - why do the p/n's not match between posts?

i recieved those parts last month, they might be MIA in NA though.
try Akella4X4, he is a vendor on Mud. ,,, and a damn good guy to deal with.

X2 on Yan being a good guy.

Haven't bought much from him, yet he's always went above and beyond trying to find non-US parts.

(Edited: During Onur's hiatus from the parts world)

Pretty sure Onur can get anything available, though.
