What up pig lickers? Since progress on the pig is going at a snail's pace, I ought to just recreate this thread to be more of a lifestyle thread, right?

So this weekend I invited @Cruddz to come on down for a traditional Mexican Fiesta and to serve as a guide on bolting all the stuff back on the ol' 2F.

So I have been working on making my own marinade for my carne asada, and it's coming along nicely, and I also got a bro-tip from my Primo south of the border for a Salsa BOrracha, which includes beer, bacon, and tomato onions and seranopeppers. This thing came out pretty freaking good.

Anyway, I fired up the mesquite that I cut off my own trees, cant really go wrong with home grown wood, amiright?

Cruddz showed up around 6, just in time to watch Canelo Alvarez put on a clinic against Callum Mundo Smith in a masterpiece of boxing excellence. I do believe that Canelo does steroids, though, since Mexican's cant really get that dense unless they eat their supplements.

Well, the whisky was pretty stout, straight from Tennessee, and we nearly ran the bottle dry before I passed out by the bon fire.

Fast forward to the morning, and we finally got to address the pig. Cruddz advised not to remove the front main seal, which was really the only thing keeping me from bolting everything back up. We were able to piece up the water pump, TStat housing, alternator, radiator, and also removed the flute air rail and those dumb bolts. I put in the block off plugs, then I reviewed all the parts I got off Rock Auto. Those dumb assess sent me a bunch of s*** that was not compatible with my rig, particularly the rad hoses, and the positive battery cable that was way to short.. Well we went to Vato Zone and O'Really's and there was not any of the hoses, nor was there the one belt I needed for the alternator.

Absolutely gutted and defeated. I was incredibly optimistic to get this rig to purr today, But I will have to postpone that triumph for another time.

What up Pablo cruise, or is it Pablo Cruz? You could be mexican with that name. Also thanks for your inquiry.

salsa borracha is essentially one beer, typically a Mexican lager and in this particular case it was a Two X. I chopped up I believe 5-6 pieces of swine andplaced it in an 8 inch pan over the still raging Fire. Next was the onions, which I left long and stringy, but you could do whatever your golden heart desires. While all those things are working up, next is the Serrano peppers which are diced finer than Pam Anderson’s debut on Baywatch. Tomatogoes last since it’s a weak fruit that needn’t much time on the fire. Just keep an eye on it and let your intuition tell you when it’s done. Put that on your tacos but also keep another two x close by to help soak down this salsa caliente.

ciao

I agree with @RUSH55 on keeping the HEI, nothing wrong with them. Just be sure yours has the correct Toyota drive gear on it.
It’s possible, however cruddz got all the igniter parts to turn it back all original. Just to let all you guys in on a secret, I might trade this piggy in for a 40, since Alvis has 2, and wants a pig. Seems like having a 60 and a 55 is the same vehicle, but the babes scoping me out in a 40? Game over, bro!

My go to for carne asada
