So I haven't made an update in a while, a couple of surgeries limited the amount of work I could do on the truck the past few months. In that downtime I did however get my rack from underdawg delivered and installed, it has been quite useful.
I still only have my passenger side OPOR slider installed as the MAF drop brackets interfered with the driver side mounting bracket. I eventually got my hands on a set of Slee radius arms, which I will be installing soon...also picked up lower and upper control arms from Metal Tech. Having only one Slider has made wheeling interesting...I have been taking lines that protect the drivers side...so far it's worked..along with having good spotters

This past weekend I picked up a 97 Cummins 6BT with the 215hp P7100 injection pump and an NV4500 which will be getting swapped in once the weather warms up.
I will be adapting the stock HF2AV to the NV4500 and as it turns out, the overall dimensions are very close to the cummins / a343 legnth.
Cummins Block/A343 belhousing to xfer case mounting surface is 27 7/8". This places the xfer case in the stock location.
Cummins Block/NV4500 bellhousing to xfer case mounting surface is 27 3/4".
Add in 3/4" for the adapter thickness and that extends the NV4500 length to 28 1/2" which places the HF2AV 5/8" further towards the rear of the truck than stock.
Since I already have the truck lifted 4" and have stock drive shafts, I predict that this will put the rear shaft back where it was prior to the lift (extension wise). I expect to need to get a longer front shaft, but this is not an issue as I was planning on getting a DC shaft made at some point anyway.
