Looks Damn Beefy! I like it

That is some super helpful, incredibly insightful constructive feedback there...well received

Ok, you want more insight?
Overall, I think your bumper looks pretty cool, and innovative.

Just don't like the uneven gap along the rear quarter, and the gap at the base of the flare leaves the uneven nub at the bottom of the flare visible.

Even flashing your blue sparkly panties won't distract from that :flipoff2:

Looks like an interesting design. I'm curious to see what you did for latches.

I think you're fit and finish at the bottom of the rear wheel arch flare is a fail
Another consideration is how would the bumper end look if flares were removed. There's a significant number of rigs with flares removed. Delta's pic has mud flap removed & that might be an oversight. My Kaymar ends at mud flap, so if either are removed, the fit & finish is not affected, IMHO. Might be a better way to go:

Sorry for the old pic:rolleyes:

Guess I started the taillight arguments by asking a legitimate and honest question. I've now seen two mud members in the last month post rear bumpers that cover the rear taillights. The other being posted on Instagram(it was on a Subaru). Fair if @Delta VS posted this dual tire carrier for fun. I actually think it looks awesome, as I mentioned. Can even pass for street use if they did something about tail lights. I was thinking exactly what @Fj81 posted, it's a perfect spot for some aux lights, but would need reverse as well.

@Box Rocket I wasnt asking as in "what if", I knew they almost completely covered the taillights. I'm very aware of perspective distortion. Also I'm sure you're familiar with the ARB dual tire swing out and those only fit 33's. So of course dual 35's would cover more of the taillights. Here in NZ, as well as in Australia there's strict laws against this kind of thing. Actually most markets.. I spent most my life in the US, as well as 6 years in Canada, and pretty sure there's laws against it whether or not it's policed or even if you've never gotten a ticket for it. Laws aside, for me it's a safety issue. Do you want someone rear ending you because taillights weren't as visible? Seeing as Delta VS don't want to get into the troubles of tow ratings, I'm sure they don't want to get into liability issues of covering the lights, which is why I asked. And hate to do this, but for somebody who says they're done and apologizing for derailing this thread, you seem to have started it up again with an attempt at a cheeky comment on IG.

Yes, that is actually useful feedback, thank you. It won't be getting incorporated, but will get filed away for future use.

You AUS folks are upside down aren't you? (those go on the top, not the bottom...)

Looks great!

Your latching mechanism operation was very cool to see. Nicely done.
You should make a quick snipet video of that for the crowd.

Now start making 70 series stuff.... :D

Thanks, today is actually video day. Not for specific products yet, that'll be next.

There's been some talk of this 70 series stuff...

When it comes to looks, we just do what we think is most functional and looks best (in that specific order). Can't say I agree with the statement that "the fit and finish is not affected", as there is no such thing as one size fits all, and the Kaymar is going to look vastly different and in my option unfinished, when on a de-flared/mudflapped rig. But your input is respected.

@Box Rocket , @synapse , @80t0ylc , @mudgudgeon , and any of you other cranky twats, how about we just take a deep breath and go back to having fun and mirin Land Cruisers and associated parts?

Sneak peak is over with time to open the swing out. :)

Looks like Patrick did snap a pic with an arm open, so here’s a good shot.

And to all the folks worried about lights, notice there is A LOT of room to the left of the tire mount which means it’s up to you, the user, to not block your lights when you install your stuff. Or, up to you to install two spares and have no cares.

As expected super build quality and design:clap:

Was going to let this slide, until @mudgudgeon posted this:
Thank you! As a USA citizen, avid 4 wheeler & overlander, it embarrases me that another mud member flaunts the disregard of a basic safety rule & considers anyone who calls him on it or disagrees to be inferior, anal or whatever, especially being a vendor. Whether he is aware of it or not, and I must admit his rig is awesome looking, but he represents 4 wheelers, Tepui, & Land Cruisers. He admits to it being an issue and considers it justified that he hasn't been stopped yet. It is humbling that it takes a comment from another country to make me realize my mistake in overlooking this, before.

BTW Adam, I agree with you that camera angle can distort the appearance in an image, but it's blatently obvious that your turn signal is obscurred, even from a distance. Might seem trivial, but safety first is a rule not wise to mess with.
Oh brother....
I was talking about camera angle and never implied safety was not important. Also never suggested the setup on my truck was ideal. Just that the camera angle changed what was visible since that’s what had been questioned. But I’m not in Aus, NZ or Oregon. My cruiser is inspected every year for safety compliance and the spare has never been questioned. Still I release it’s not ideal but the situation is as stated. Moving on.

As for the Delta bumper, the modular aspects will be extremely useful for a lot of people I believe. Being able to remove the accessories without needing to remove the entire swing out is a nice touch to allow lift gate access.

The feedback about the angles of the side wings of the bumper and how they fit to the flare is good constructive feedback. The sloping angle of the top of the wing does feel a bit like the wing wasn’t welded correctly and square. Obviously that’s not the case but making the top of the wing flat (at least where it meets the flare) might clean that up a little. Maybe for a version 2.0 down the road?

A hitch would be a cool addition but unless it was added below the bumper the buyer would need to cut out part of the rear cross member for the receiver. Dave’s bolt on hitch suggestion is probably the way to go unless he decides to change it in the future.

Really like the recovery point design to accommodate a shackle or a strap loop. Shackle is ideal but sometimes people just don’t have one and only have a strap. The hook it better than tying a strap to some other spot not designed for recovery.

It’s not possible to build the perfect solution for everyone that ticks every box. But clearly a lot of thought and effort went into this design to make it useful for people. As always, good work Dave.

The rear lighting complain is trivial BS buy the bumper and do what make YOU comfortable for lighting. It is recommended by world travels to have additional rear lighting with or without dual tire carriers. Picture are some friends traveling in South America Safely with super bright LED lighting.

Very nicely engineered out of the box design by Delta:clap: Makes many other bumpers look light weight

Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder.... I agree the wing doesn't fully cover the rear quarter but it's probably just the camera angle :flipoff2:

I bet once on the truck there is to much bad ass bumper to look at and no one will notice the small gap. Hell just hit it with some flat black paint and problem solved.

Also, with the modular design just move the tire over so it doesn't block your light. I'm sure the pic of the duals is to show what's possible and 99.8% will never run it like that but having the option is a huge plus.

Delta VS has some great products/ideas for our old trucks... keep up the good work
