Anyone Running Delta VS Rear Bumper with OEM Hitch Underneath?

It’s would probably be pretty easy to mod the “factory” hitch to exit through the center opening on Delta bumper

Possibly, I don't understand why nobody makes a "flipped" hitch that exits through the bumper. GM trucks have had those since the 90s.

I think y'all are over thinking this, A approved hitch is a sticker that has a rating on. On a 30 year old rig that stick is gone or UN-legible and what about the 10 of thousands of Echhart trailer hitches out there those owners are just sh*t out of luck ?
If the hitch falls off the truck I can see them trying not to pay, but just because you have a custom hitch is no grounds to not pay a trailer related accident
I not a lawyer but I have asked my agent these kind of questions, and I have been with him for over 40 years
Insurance companies are always going to try to get out of paying !

Yes, it was my solution initially but I really don't want to lop off the subframe.

I hear ya man it does add strength back to it but if your not down with cutting the back 5 inches of your frame it's not for everyone

I think the take home message is “don’t give them a reason” to deny a claim. Decide the level of risk you are comfortable with but don’t seek sympathy in the event of a poor outcome.
