@cruisermatt
I haven't read the whole thread but assuming they have you advance the timing?
This is with the stock base ignition timing
It’s a distributor so you can’t really do much with that.

Would follow their guidance for sure. While NA advancing the timing does make a big difference in my opinion. You just hook up a timing light and rotate the distributor a little. Might be worth experimenting. I went 10 degrees on NA, id probably do like 3-4 on yours and see how she feels. It'll pull timing if it needs to but I'm not sure how it will affect the closed/open loop and how they're fueling it for the turbo

I am fully aware of how to set timing on a distributor. What I mean is a few degrees of timing is the difference between a piston melting or not when you accidentally make double the boost you were anticipating. I have done that.
Timing is a lot more dangerous then boost in my experience
It’s not like we have a boost vs timing table with a these ECU’s

isnt the acceptable logic to pull timing and retard spark a bit with colder plugs on a N/A-turbo gaspot.....

Every engine, turbo, fuel, load, horsepower goal is different.

That’s why it’s called tuning.

I wasn't assuming you didn't know, I was mostly thinking out loud. Hopefully didn't come across rude.
I'm very curious to see what you guys can get out of these engines. Definitely not encouraging anyone to try to blow up their stuff.
Some timing seemed to help with off the line response but Im NA so just being a peanut gallery I guess

Definitely wouldn't recommend more timing with boost. Good way to put the rods out the side of the block.

Been trying to get ahold of someone at the cruisers and company shop with no luck. Does anyone know if they are on vacation or something?

nope. they have a few trucks they are hammering through to get ready for Rubithon, so they might take a bit to get ahold of.

This is correct

Email info@cruisersandcompany.com or fill out our contact form HERE and I will be in touch. Rubithon trucks and absolute crazy phone volume has made it to where I am being forced to go to a by appointment call schedule at this point. May be finding someone to run the phone full time soon. It's a good problem but the # of calls are making it near impossible to get anything done inside the shop or building turbo kits!

Sent you guys an email. Thanks!

The whole expensive grown man toy market has this issue - lots of folks really just want to yack / validate their hobby.

I used to sell guitars worth more than a good used car. Guys would call just wanting to talk about their wives, liquor, politics, whatever. Then complain when you won't answer the phone. They expect you to coddle their loneliness to make a sale. You guys are way past that stage of the grind.

Not pointing fingers here but anyone in a similar occupation knows the deal.

I would do email only if I was you.

You are completely right about the above but I wish it was as simple as going to all email!

Do both, I know people hate it, but an auto attendant phone service is probably the best of both worlds.

Someone calls in, have an auto prompt on what services they need. You get a notification and they get put into a queue for you to call back.

May cut back on the ones who actually need to talk versus people like me who like to yap. Lol.

It'll be a growing pain for people but most change brings that.

😆 I spent some time working in a music store. Don't get me wrong, I genuinely LIKED some of my customers but holy hell some of them could suck up your time.

Has anyone needed to address increased transmission temperatures with adding a turbo and driving it harder or towing?

Hey Johnny, left you guys messages, filled out the form, sent text messages. Really hoping you can get the turbo and intercooler kit out as promised. I'm running out of time before the engine is rebuilt and everything is supposed to go in.,
