Here's a terrible shot of my 73 looking as bad as it will ever get. Big things ahead!

Glad to know you made it home safe with no more issues. Driveshaft get any worse?

It did some but leveled off. It was smoothest right around 70mph so that worked fine. It was like a massage chair all the way home! Now it has a real bad noise in the steering too by the time I got home.
Been looking at Tundras on CL!

I saw your future project this week when I picked up an axle. It has lots of potential and putting the 12HT in will be great.
Glad you agree! Many have seen my pictures of it and think I'm crazy. As Joe pointed out, it has a really nice structure and frame. Areas in the back doors, lower front body mounts and such are nice. I have no concerns putting quarters, rockers and a new windshield frame on. Heading back to TX in a couple months to get it.

How it looked when it was still in Europe. It was a one owner truck at a lumber yard.

Unfortunately not a lot happening on Chunk. I am trying to get back on top of rack orders this week and I promised my daughter we'd start on much needed maintenance on her 80 as soon as the Texas trip was done. I put it on the lift and it will own the tiny shop space til done. I did do a little to the fenders at the powder coat shop after rack work on Sunday. I am going to eliminate the vents to work better with the stripes and look more like the non U.S. trucks. There is a lip on the hole that I ground down and then I sprayed a template for a patch to weld in the hole in each fender.

Pat, I have a stripe kit for mine and was thinking I’m gonna donthe same thing. That or paint the fenders I got from Joe K. They are the euro version with no cutouts. Just need to find time to paint them again :)

That would be about a wash time wise either way you went I guess. Good to have choices though, right? My fenders are solid but have a little previous damage so at least it doesn't bother me to hack away at them. Fortunately the hood and doors will have minimal work to get in shape.

12HT in an HZJ73. Killer.
Start the thread in the 70 series forum

I will when its turn comes up. I have the 12HT but still have to go back to TX to get the truck. Might be a couple of months before that happens.

What Jimmy said. ^^^^^^^^

Hmmmm, that could work.

^^^^^^. Welcome. No passport required for you....or buddy.

Slow progress but something. My rear doors and lower gate are blasted. I still have to sand the door center area as we stayed away to avoid warping. They are super nice and I'm really happy with them. I am planning on powder coating the doors, hood, inner fenders and fenders a color match to the body so I don't have to worry about the insides of parts when painting them. I have lots to do on the fenders but hopefully some progress today.

I was @joekatana ‘s place Saturday, getting the last 2H/H55 I needed. Saw your child waiting for you to pick up at the carpool lane.
