I ordered the Tundra one from Amazon Feb. 17, delivery was stated to be March 4-14 when I ordered, and that's still what's showing now. It hasn't shipped yet, and I have my doubts that it actually will. I will update.

Update: Initial delivery date was missed, but it did eventually ship from Amazon and I received it this past weekend.

I was in the same boat as you. I was watching this thread too hoping for an update and good to know it was still in stock. About to order mine from there as well. I was ordering the same part from toyotas all over the country that had it "in stock" but only to be refunded my money a week later because they no longer had it in stock. Annoying.

Any chance these can be opened fresh charcoal added and resealed? Pretty sure I saw something on a Tundra forum showing this possibility.

It's certainly possible. There are a few threads on the forum about it. I've done it on older style canisters and it's held up ok. The challenge is getting the canister to re-seal properly and stay sealed. For later years with the canister mounted above the spare, I'd say it's not worth trying to repair it. The mounting configuration puts to much stress on the canister and people usually see their repair efforts fail. Ultimately it depends on what your time is worth.

Anyone found an option for a 98 that is in stock?

You may get some hits for a Tundra canister if you go past page 1 of Google. Out of stock most big name places but they are out there. I've been using one for the past 8k miles with no issues.

Anyone look at the Tacoma canister 98-02? At first glance at the pictures it looks similar. I haven’t had a chance yet to look at actual drawings.

I found an 03-05 canister so one off the list. Still need OEM or Tundra unit for my 98. They seem impossible to find.
