related ?: Hearing that some cc can be no longer available, has any one taken one of the avaialbe toyota underhood cc (like the tundra) and installed in the newer 100s? as you know, the oem location is above the spare tire.

I know this will be coming down the pike for the 2003+ model years.

@89BIGBLUE so the electrical connectors are the same on the top? Also, did you cut off the ears or leave them on?

Electrical connection is the same for the 1 VSV that comes new with the CC.
The other VSV (tall one) is the one I moved to the new Tundra can from the old LC can, so those parts remain the same.

I had originally thought to cut off the lower mounting ears, but it is not necessary to fit the Tundra CC.
They do not touch the wheel well in my rig, but float just above.
(Seems the fender mount “slide bracket” bears the weight of the can just as it did with the LC unit).

I’m my searching around, I did come across some other Tundra (I think) charcoal canisters that were mounted under the bed, similar to the 03 and newer LC…if I remember correctly.
I was focused on the 99 style.
Might be worth a picture walk for you guys with the under body mounted CC.

No, that is an overseas version. See info here.
