Make 7 V2 is finalized. I am taking orders.
About to test fit my Kenwood head unit mount and realized my 2004 upper console might be a tad different. Didn't think I'd seen this posted in the thread before, but I could've missed it. Looks like Homelink antenna is in a different spot? Plus some connections for Bluetooth microphone and maybe temp?

Some model has this homelink behind the box. You can try to put in the mount with radio head first. Then see if you can find a place for the homelink.
Yeah, I see @MongooseGA has the same console. I test fit the mount without removing anything. It's a pretty tight fit, and couldn't seem to get the bottom edge flush. I think the bottom standoffs weren't lining up exactly. I was just sitting in the passenger seat though. I'll get it on the workbench and fiddle with it some more. Still need to sand it a bit and paint it. The grey ABS is actually pretty blue compared to the grey interior plastic.
@MongooseGA What did you end up doing with your homelink transmitter? Did you remove it, attach it somehow, or is it and the wire harnesses loose?
Sorry to say I won't be much help here. I took it off completely with the sunglass holder. (For sale, by the way. Perfect operation and condition. PM if interested.)
The other connections you're seeing are most likely for the console lights or sunroof controls. I reconnected everything besides the homelink system and everything works just fine in the console.

I had the space in my 2-car to fit my LX, MB, and BMW... I'd be right there with you.
Unfortunately, big girl gets the driveway for now.
Just an FYI, ABS is sandable, but take it slow. Don’t melt it.Yeah, I see @MongooseGA has the same console. I test fit the mount without removing anything.
