Keep it! You can recover from the house build budget but you may never find another survivor that nice.

You're 100% right, if I could avoid selling it I would trust me. Luckily I've still got a couple other cruisers to play with and fill the void left by selling this one :grinpimp:

I don't see the PTO in the Ebay photos. What's the story?

Still got it, I'm just personally not a fan of the Ramsey PTO so I didn't put it back on. I was hoping to find an stock PTO to put on there but ran out of time and funds unfortunately.

It could have been installed at the dealer. My literature has them listed on the dealer option price sheet. But it wouldn't have come out of Japan with it. If whoever wins the 45 wants it I will certainly include it.

Did you sell this locally or did you come to your senses and keep this beauty. I don't see it on ebay anymore. If sold, willing to share sale price. Understand if not.

Well sadly I didn't come to my senses :( but I am happy to report its going to a good home and staying in the mud family !!! I'll let the new owner post when he is ready and he can share the selling price if he wants.

I can't tell you guys how glad I am it is going to a home where it will be admired and preserved. My biggest fear with the eBay ad. was that it was going to end up in the hands of someone who'ed want to throw a V8 in it or try to restore it. That would have made me sick to my stomach, as this 45 needs to remain a "survivor" too few out there left that are all original. So now I can have peace of mind that she in the hands of a fellow Cruiser head who realizes just how special it truly is :D

All that said I think I'm gonna cry when she is finally loaded up on the transporter head to her new home :crybaby:

I drove it to lunch :)

thanks to JP for letting me be the steward of this one for a while, hopefully a very long while!!

JP, you did a bunch of nice work to this one.
My wife even approves which says a lot cause this is cruiser number 4.

Treeroot came over and said.."must be nice to buy 1 thats already in the tinker-with-it stage"

indeed. It is. its perfect as it sits in my estimation.

data point for those who asked, $27.5k overall, just over 26k to seller.
too much? maybe
too little? maybe
1 thing is for sure, I am glad its in my garage thanks to ClemsonCruiser

You bought a truck that makes a lot of us envious. Thanks for the update. I really appreciate letting us know what you paid for it. I am still relatively new to this but the cost perspective is appreciated on these early ones that aren't nut and bolt restorations. I thought it could easily bring 30k with its condition, patina and the work JP put into it. I am a fan and I showed it to my 12 yr old daughter and she liked it better than mine. i guess i know how much i have to save now.

Congrats on the purchase and we're all glad it went to a good Cruiser steward.

There was one key piece of info you disclosed. Mama approved a 4th Cruiser purchase? I think the intrinsic value just increased to the "priceless" category.;)

Please post pics of future adventures.

Thanks for the kind words Mike! So happy the old girl stayed in the mud family and went to a good home. I think she'll be so much happier out in that Cruiser paradise known as Colorado instead of being stuck in the flat lands of SC. I can't wait to see pics of her climbing some of those epic passes ya'll have

swapped the og starter for 1 JP sent along, same problem, think its just voltage drop over bad ground.. will test it out, then I can put the sweet OG green starter back on...

found a local station with ethanol free gas..
took it out for some local trips, it likes the ethanol free much better at this altitude.

posed with its younger brother for s***s and giggles.

both.webp
