No, I wish. After a bad pint job and some more rust it looks like the picture below. Although I do like the stock wheels much better.

So, the alternator situation didn’t make much sense so I decided to dig into it a little more and I need to retract my previous comment that there was no external regulator. I found it under the intake tube on the drivers inner fender. Now I just need to re-wire the connectors, not sure why they were cut and spliced, but I ohm’ed them out and they go where I expect. Anyone have a 3-prong alternator connector? I’d like to fix it right.

I see at least 12 pieces of metal......LOLI also found what is wrong with the latch, it’s missing a spring. Does anyone have an old latch they want to sell, or could strip the spring for me? Here is the location of the missing spring. It fits between the two metal pieces.
I recently changed my alternator to a 55 amp 60 series alternator and bypassed the external regulator. As Pablo said @Coolerman has the bits to make that easy and a good write-up on his website with instructions. @FJ60Cam can source a refurbished alternator for you if you have trouble finding one.So, the alternator situation didn’t make much sense so I decided to dig into it a little more and I need to retract my previous comment that there was no external regulator. I’ll have to check out his write up, from the wiring diagrams I looked at it seems pretty simple, I have both types of alternators, but I’d have to rebuild the internal regulated one so for now I may just keep with what I currently have. Thanks for the heads-up, I love having resources like this documented.I recently changed my alternator to a 55 amp 60 series alternator and bypassed the external regulator.
