Congrats Scott!

Hope all is well.

Wow kurt. Try not to say so much next time. Took me forever to take it all in. Gettin' to be alot of 55's around here. Maybe we need to talk about doing a pig run. But if we do, you can't come. You don't have a 55.

I'll borrow one, I know of at least a dozen here in the SL valley alone, and a few more in the outer reaches (like Heber) :D

My trail-trailer is a 55 frame, my 40 has some 55 parts too. I'm totally down to do the Pig Run's again, we had a riot with them a few years back but everyone pig was broken down for a few years there.

Congrats Scott!

Hope all is well.

Thanks Kurt, I still need to make it down and get a knuckle rebuild from you, I'll be calling shortly, just got to find time in between life and remodeling a home.

What's new down there? Did you swappy swap parts with that goofy cruisermoose guy?

Well, I got the buffer out and polished the paint, I can't believe how it shined up, I will have to post some more pictures. I am currently in the middle of a knuckle job, so it is out of commission, but I did buy the parts from mooseman, what a great guy. I will post pictures of its current condition later today.

Thanks for the good words and support, attached are a couple of pictures of the state of the Cruiser right now, hopefully I can get it back on the road shortly.

And I will also say it's good to be driving a 55 again. 55's and 40's are right at the top of my list of best Cruisers Toyota ever made.

Hey Scott, Man that thing looks great! Those are some great tires just waiting to go on that beast. I want to see a picture of it when you get them on.

Wait a minute, did someone call me goofy? :p

Well, getting close to having it back on the road, here are a couple of pictures of the lower hinge repairs I had to do to three of the doors, as well as one of the knuckle bearings, they were all in similiar condition.

Sometimes even on Thanksgiving a person has to get dirty working on Cruisers.

Oh, and one more thing, I do have pictures of the Cruiser with its new wheels/hubcaps and tires, but I am saving those for when it is back on the road and looking finished.

And for my Christmas wish, 4 Bilstein shocks and a 3" Alcan lift, that would just top it off.

Man, those bearing races were hammered!

Yea, that was the scariest part of the drive back, I knew they were bad the minute I got speed up during the test drive, but I wasn't going to let that deter me from purchasing and driving back a new to me 55, I just had to have it.

Glad you made it home safe & I hope the knuckle overhaul went smooth, thanks again for the order!

No problem Scott, thanks for being a great customer. Your new order is headed out the door today and it came in a few bucks cheaper than we discussed too

Well, finally got it back on the road with the new wheels and 33x9.5 tires, I really like the look of stock steelies. Anyway, I've got a few items to work through like reverse lights always on when lights are on, hard starting after sitting overnight, and a fogging issue, but I believe I know what is causing that. Anyway, I will keep posting as I contine to work on it, below is a list of items I would like to get one day, hopefully sooner than later.

3" Alcans
Bilsteins
New Upholstery
New Headliner
Carpet Kit
New Visors
Some type of A/C
New front bumper
Radio/speakers
Repair hard to roll windows
Exhaust pipe/Muffler repair

And I am sure there is more............
